Broadsides are much more useful with target locks I find, especially if you are going to load up on drones.

For me (I play mostly CSM and SM) its GK, but as I rarely face interceptor units in my local meta, popping a transport somewhere usually gets me first blood.

Any transport except landraiders/ravens usually give first blood. Kinda wish that dedicated transports did NOT count as a second victory point since their entire purpose is to zoom up, deliver a small payload, and die. That payload is almost always weaker than other options too, it just got there a bit faster. That aint worth a victory point to me, least not one thats soooo easy to get (av10/11 ftl)

Technically by RAW you can't get first blood from vehicles as the models need to be removed as casulty inorder to get first blood and vehicles are never removed as casulty. They only suffer destroyed results.

....really....i am very very surprised ive never seen anyone bring that up before. if i had my BRB i'd look for it but youre right about the vehicle part - its wrecked or exploded, thats not "removed" at all lol.

lol, you'd instantly lose your privilege to play 40k at my FLGS with that kind of attitude.

None less because it's not even correct nit-picking for advantage. If you cause a vehicle explosion, it says that the vehicle is removed. Furthermore, in the rule for first blood is gives an example of a "destroyed" unit giving away first blood, which means that destroyed is a synonym for removed as casualty, and still counts for first blood.

Technically, the unit has to be removed from play as casualties, and the only way to do that is to run them off the table or catch them in a sweeping advance.
