As usual, my bottle of Zap-a-gap dried up before I could use the whole bottle. I made sure I always put the cap back on it too. For some reason I can't ever seem to use the whole bottle before it dries out on me.
Anyway, to get to me real question. I wanted to pick up a new bottle today until I walked in the shop and saw it for $7.50. No thank you. Anyone tried the Hobby Lobby brand or the Hobbytown brand?
I'm in the USA and I live in a small town so I only have access to the stores in my area which are Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and Hobby Town.

You generally get the best prices buying online, and will usually get free shipping with a decent sized order so that might be a better way to go. I'm often better off paying international shipping from the US than buying locally due to limited selection here.

I really only need superglue. I usually try to do the online thing but I just don't need anything else.
Hobby Lobby's version is called "Extreme Power":

Do any of your local stores carry Gale Force 9's glue? I use that stuff and I haven't had any problems of it drying out and I leave the caps off all the time.

I haven't tried GF9. I didn't see that at any of the stores.

I use the thick hobbytown glue, works great.
It easily keeps many months.
Keep the top clean to have a good seal.

GF9 is long lasting but I think it comes under the thin category of Superglues.
I have it but use the (foul smelling) GF9 spray accelerate with it so it works for me.

After drying up so many bottles of glue, I went with the Dollar Store. They sell liquid and gel super glue for like 3 tubes for a dollar. One dries up? Oh well, there goes a 33 cents. Works great and is super cheap.

I have tried the hobby lobby brand, it doesn't perform as well as I would have liked. This happened to my accelerator from hobby lobby as well it dried up before I had used even more than one spritz of it. But Hobby Town USA has some good stuff if you are in the states and there is one near enough to you.

I bought some thing like these before (8, yes 8 for a pound!) and it was so runny when I put some on a FoW truck wheel that it flowed through the joint out of the other side and down on my hand holding the model.
The only time I ever glued fingers together.
It was such daft thing that I went the other way and tried some GW glue which as we know is gak!
I don't cheap out any more and happily pay through the nose (if necessary) for gel.

That same package I just posted comes in gel as well. 3 for $1.

Loctite seems to be another popular choice and comes in both thin and gel. Reasonably cheap and pretty widely available, too - I know that Michaels, at least, carries it (pretty sure I've seen it at supermarkets, drug stores, Walmart, etc. as well). I'll be giving it a shot, soon, based on the reviews I've seen here. Never heard any complaints about the bottle, either for ease of dispensing or problems clogging/drying out.

I will second Gorilla Brand Superglue. Great stuff, the bottle doesn't dry out like Zap A Gap and it's available nearly everywhere.

I've done some research since my first post and Gorilla Superglue is very highly recommended.
