I am build an all Tzeench flying daemon army and could really use some help on the paint scheme for my "custom" Fateweaver. My main to colors of the army are blue and purple with a little gold with LED light eyes on all the big daemons.

Here is a picture of my first Daemon prince.


The is a WIP picture of my second prince.


Here is my Fateweaver. I was given a LoC with out a head so I decided to make him in a FW. I used the head from the Spawn kit and green stuffed the necks. Oh, and those are fiber optic cables poking out of his eyes.




I went with a split blue and purple to go with his 2 head rule and liking it so far, as it matches my princes.
So far, I am not very happy with the wings, I tried to make them start dark at the top and get lighter towards the bottom.
Also, I have no idea what color to do his robes, I can go with white but would rather run another color.

I ask what the fibre cable are there for.

Look at the first prince. See how his eyes are glowing?

im totally painting my fateweaver like a Macaw when i get my pieces for a conversion. (basing it off the metal LoC model) one of these schemes:

I agree that the effect is extremely subtle for the amount of work that you probably had to do to get the fiber optics in there.

Or the effect just just not show up well in that picture. Trust me, they glow bright.

yeah LED glow on minis never seems easy to capture on camera. lot of work for only two eyeballs no? if i ever LED'd anything its have to be like some kind of sorcerer being posessed or ascending or something.

The eyes are pretty cool! It's like a TMM version of OSL.

I love that idea but I don't think it will fit my army. Really looking at keeping the split blue and purple scheme.

Thanks for all the posts about the LEDs but I could really use some help on my Fateweaver scheme.

I think your blue and pink works well, make his feathers run from blue through necron abyss into purple and then into the pink and vice versa on the pink wing you have and i think you'll get a stellar model. I'd also go with leaving the robes pure white with some purple to add detail work to it.

Also that light up dice is totally sick.

Its more of a purple, it just turns kinda pink when I added white for the highlights. It looks very flat in the picture.
After looking at the feathers on the GW LoC.


I got this idea.


I think it adds a adds a nice touch but leaves the top side of the wings looking very plain.
