Subject: What would make you be fine with playing against Anvil Industry's Kneeling models?

(here, for reference)
I recently purchased some of these for use with some of my CSM, most likely Missile Launcher Havocs. Would you be fine with playing against someone using these if they had a stand in model for when you were checking line of sight to shoot at it, to make sure the shorter height didn't give the model any specific advantages? And if that was the case, would you be fine with your opponent using a stand in model to check line of sight when shooting with the squad?

I have no problem with it. I go by the look of cool. We are here to have fun.
Hell you even go one stop further and use an actual proper mini when it comes to actually checking the model. That is a great idea having a "stand in".

GW makes kneeling marine legs too, I don't understand why kneeling legs from Anvil would be any different. You don't need any stand ins.

Kneeling i really dont care, its the prone position where i go "heyyyyy..." because then it royally messes up with LOS. Kneeling cuts off what 10-15% of the model? so what, he still cant shoot me and remain 100% concealed.
Told a guy in my group i wanted to model the next riptide i get to kneel so i didnt have the same look on both, and he wigged out saying i was modeling for advantage. Im like....really dude? it can be posed in any way you want by default in fact they SUPPORT the kneeling version plus its so big anyway who cares.

The height difference is so tiny, I can't imagine anyone having a problem with it. if you had entire squads with it, that might start to draw attention, but if a couple models have it nobody will care. People have kneeling Guardsmen and Marines in their armies all the time, and they exist in GW kits.

I don't have a sprue right next to me but iirc at least 2/5 of tau fire warrior sculpts are kneeling. there's nothing wrong with kneeling models as long as it's not across entire squads of units. you're fine using those.

People who need to win with plastic toy soldiers care.

I wouldn't care if your entire army was kneeling or prone.
I might even take it as a sign of obeisance. After all what warlord wouldn't want their enemy to bow down before their greatness!
Besides, any advantage you gained by having your models on their knees is outweighed by the disadvantage of what they can't see over. Terrain would NOT be your friend.
