alright i got thyra. Can i charge with her then pop her ult before rolling my charge attack? This would allow me to put thyra behind the enemy etc but i dont know if i can split the charge move and the charge attack with a feat usage....

|

Let me amend my answer. You can cast a spell after you make a successful charge move. If your movement does not put you within melee reach of your charge target then it has failed and your activation ends immediately.

What about warcasters with assault? Can you assault, cast, then measure for your gun and see you are out of range?

No.
Assault specifically states that if you don't end your charge move within melee range, then you can only shoot before your activation ends, you can't do anything else.

Maybe you've mispoken (misprinted?) but I don't see how sylyss can help you with your melee range.

Sorry, I charged to cast IF on my winterguard who had run earlier in the turn, as I didn't know about sylys' range boost until later in the game.
