A friend of mine is looking to get back into the hobby after a break over the summer. He hasn't been in the hobby for too long so his range of models isn't too good but he can still do a few of the good things in the daemons dex. This is a semi screamer council list using his available models.

The heralds all roll on div (keeping one tzeentch on each of course) and try and get the 4++ and combo it in with the grimoire for a 2++ amd because they are tzeentch daemons the 2++ is rerollable. The Blood crushers rush up on a flank and serve as an entry point for the blocks of bloodletters (hoping that the instrument comes in first). I'm going to talk to him to try and get 5 more screamers for a full block of 9 screamers to improve the hitting power of the screamer council. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to toss some lessers onto the heralds to give them hitting power and something more then just utility.

Thoughts? This is for a rather semi-competitive community

I'd switch the grimoire and portoglyph. The herald with the grimoire won't benefit but being buried in a virtually indestuctible squad and having look out sir should protect that one. Giving one herald a locus of conjuration to make all those flickerfire shots strength 6.

Fateweaver is ideal for the reroll on the grimoire, making you fail only 1/9 times. Of course that would make your demon prince have to be Tzeentch,

Okay thanks for the advice unfortunately my friend only has a bloodthirster for greater daemons but I'm sure he will be fine with proxying

All he would need to get for this list is fateweaver and another box of screamers. Later on he could back this list up with hounds, and chariots and plaguebearers/horrors instead of the DP (cuz he's really expensive) the bloodcrushers (not sure how good they are this ed but I do know that hounds are awsome) and the bloodletters (harder to get into assault with t3 and only mobility is DS)
