Your shading and your color choices are excellent.

I think, personally, that your plasma weapon is WAY too glowy. I prefer my light auras to be minimalistic at best, and although that is a personal taste, yours appears to be pretty intense.

The dust on their legs bothers me a little too. Like the lighting, you've made it very intense, but the dust doesn't play, I think, even if you like your effects over-exaggerated. To get that thick of a coat on their lower legs, they would either have to be slogging through mud (the bases look dry, and there doesn't seem to be any of the clumps or thickness one would associate with mud) or have been running around in the loose dirt for so long that they would have a patina of brown all over, getting gradually darker as it went down.

Loving the work on the eyes, by the way. That's the nice, subtle glow effect that tickles my pickle.

Look forward to seeing more of your work. You've got a bold style that has lots of promise.

It's pretty obvious that brown shade on the lower part of the chaos body is a heavy build of a desert waste land, like if you drove a 4x4 off road on red earth, it gets covered in it. His achieved this perfectly. As soon as I saw it I could picture the home world or battle ground these guys were fighting on

If that's the case, then I still think there should be some more dirt up top. On the plasma gunner, the dirt is a bit more subdued, but on many of the models, they are just covered with dirt midway up their lower half, and it's like it just ends, leaving the rest of their armor factory fresh. It's perfectly fine to have models with dirt on them, or even a lot of dirt, it just looks a little unnatural when it's unbalanced this way. To my eye, anyway.

Thanks everybody.
Yeah I know that they look clean on the armour, but the pics dosen't show the dirt/rust on the models that good. In real life the rust/dirt shows more.

The shell casing effect is top notch. Overall, the group looks great.

All of your stuff looks great, I agree that I think the OSL is exaggerated as far as my taste, but well done none the less. I'm also not sure about the brown on just the end of the bolter for the predator guy, this would tell me that he is always carrying his bolter at his side and it's collecting a lot of dirt?

Edit -

Or I am an idiot and they are probably meant to look like they're blending in....

"You are like a son and together we have all but conquered the galaxy. Now the time has come for me to retire to Terra. My work as a soldier is done and now passes to you for I have great tasks to perform in my earthly sanctum. I name you Warmaster and from this day forth all of my armies and generals shall take orders from you as if the words came from mine own mouth. But words of caution I have for you for your brother Primarchs are strong of will, of thought and of action.

It's like you say, it should be that he is cloaking, and so is his bolter.

Ok guys, new guy, tried not to do that exaggerated osl on this one.

Thank you, nice to hear that you dig it. I will Pm you later how I did the display base.

Yeah I know that some of the OSL is ott but the dirt is just the way I like, I want them very muddy and dirty at the lower part of the legs.

Will maybe finish the leader to the predators today or tomorrow.
