Finished playing the 2nd 11th encounter of my Five Parsecs campaign (it was a Story Campaign Turn, so I played two encounters). It was a lot of fun. Then wrote down the BatRep of the encounter and rolled through Post Game.

Played Mordheim with a friend who has never played Mordheim before. I have enough models and terrain to make it happen so I built an Orc warband and had a game with him. He proceeded to roll boxcars on EVERY WOUND ROLL. Too out my captain on turn 2 and his Big'uns just kept cutting through my troops.
Failed a rout check and they ran on turn 4, Captain was sold to the fighting pits. Overall classic Mordheim experience.

I did get my last Commandos done yesterday evening, and tonight I've tackled my Marauder Ripper Suits.
Up to now, through the pretty large amount of Mantic stuff I've built, I've never found their PVC to be THAT bad. A bit annoying to work with, but nothing too serious.
These Ripper suits made me understand why I see so many people complaining about the material. Just incredibly annoying to build and did not want to go together, and seemed to actively slow down the Super Glue curing process.
And the end result is some deeply underwhelming models with very silly poses. Ah well. At least they were very cheap.

Had a trip to Vegas over the holidays so not much done.
We were staying with a friend, so I assembled the BB 3rd Season teams and primed them for him. Bretonnians and Tomb Kings
Then after getting home & getting sick, finally felt better Sunday, and on a whim I assembled 18 Pathfinder Goblins I got on clearance ages ago. Multipart & tiny. PITA!
I have another 18 on sprue!

Still got some work done on the remaining Thousand Sons infantry. Got 5 Scarab and 10 Rubrics all based in blue, and the gold trim picked up and washed.
Progress was slow up to that point, the boring part of having so much trims!
Then I picked up one Rubric to get him to near-complete stage to break things up. It's an old style marine with upgrade kit, so its a fun model to paint.

Fantasy armies - Retired (Tomb Kings, Vampires, Empire, Chaos Warriors/Daemons, Dark Elves)

Got 10 enforcers built. Whoever decided the legs should be specific to a torso but also separate on the sprue should be forced to assembled 100 of these guys.
They look good when built but the process is very annoying! Between these guys and the ripper suits it sadly makes this a bit of an unfriendly "starter" set.
But then again I got the rules, dice, counters and 71 minis for 95 euro so I can't really get too mad!
Assault enforcers next. I hope to have the whole box built and based for Friday when this cold spell is gonna clear and then get the lot primed.

After work, maybe over lunch too (though that’s likely better used to dig out my brushes and that) a mass drybrush event will occur in my hobby room.
This is a slapchopesque step on my increasingly vast, but now all undercoated, LI painting pile.
I’m gonna be sensible and all, and wear nitrile gloves I bought for 3d print handling.

10 more enforcers done. I tried a few different ways of gluing the legs, ultimately not happy with any of them. Ah well!
Peacekeepers are next, and they have exactly the same design. Grrr.
I might get those done tonight, but after that only the two jetbikes to go, and everything ready to prime once temperatures rise.

Today, between games, I'm going to re-arm one of my Termite drills.
One of them is armed with storm/combi bolters. Why its original owner thought this was the way to go (vs heavy flamers) is beyond me....
That gets corrected today.

Tried using a make up brushes for mass drybrushing of my mantic terrain. Got all the main panels done in one 90 minute session, was very nice and easy! If anything it was a bit too fast for the drying times of the craft paint I was using.
Detailing next and then the wash. I think doing the wash for all of these in my current situation (where everything has to pack away after each session) is going to be challenging. I might sit up at night to do a bunch and then leave them out and get up early to put them away.

I have a can of mostly still full Army Painter red spray that doesn't want to seem to come out. I tried cleaning off the nozzle but still nothing.
I am now looking for an alternative red as I'm done trying to deal with Army Painter spray primer, and I don't want to drop $$$ on GW primer.

I had the same thing happen to me with their red primer. Never had an issue with any others, but the red clogged after one use and I could not unclog it and had to drive to the local dump to dispose of it.
Did the secondary colour on all of my Deadzone terrain. Brass and silver next!
