I've been pushing out my many, many Dungeon Saga card tiles.

I should be making a major KR Multicase order at some point soon too.

Many KR cases.

Finally getting to demo Batman to my uni's Games Society tonight. There was quite a bit of interest when I just took down the minis last week, so hopefully that will translate into willing players for tonight's session. Need to fix up some more paper Shipping Containers, though, as a Batman fight without Shipping Containers is no Batman fight at all...

Going to be doing a bit more painting on my Tablescapes urban tiles.

I've got 4 currently in progress, and I need to spray undercoat a load more, but I'm probably not going to get to do that for a while unfortunately.

Walked around town, trying to find a store that would sell me a razor saw (age limit: 18) at age 27.
Nobody would, and GW stopped making them.

[Internal screaming]

Oddly enough I didn't take ID to the hobby store to buy a small saw, no.
The stupid thing us they were happy to sell me the cleaner in the same basket, which is solvent.

I pointed this out as I had no intention of buying that on its own anyway.
I couldn't even get my partner who did have ID to buy it, as he'd be buying it for me and therefore supplying a minor.

No I don't look super young. The girl at the checkout was new to the job and had to get a manager who just rolled her eyes at the created problem.

So...did the manager sell you the saw?

No, because technically the employee was correct, and having pointed it out, they couldn't sell to me.

I had the same situation with beer once. Both dudes were totally old enough and it was obvious but since the first one didn't have ID it was technically incorrect to sell to his friend given the implications (buying it for someone who couldn't pass the I'd check, for whatever reason).

In some cases its stupid, but you gotta follow da roolz as its not worth generating fireable offenses just to make someone else's day easier.

Got rained out half a day so maybe some more zombies.

I'm not mad, just very tired having gone out in the rain and paid parking for no reason.
I should have paid someone from the GW around the corner to go and buy it, but I was tired.

Ah, to be young and mistaken for a spotty faced twerp again.

I've been working on some Kingdom Death stuff myself: converted up a model for the fifth player of our group and decided to make some minor changes to the Christmas pin-up to make her more twisted and less seasonable.

I do not look under 18, and this isn't my "How dare you, madam! *tips fedora*" view, this is cold, tired fact.

What likely happened is we have a "look/think 25" policy in stores, and a young employee earnestly trying to do the right thing.
So I've been averted from murdering someone very very slowly with a 52 tooth Xacto saw whilst high on airbrush cleaner.

Anyway actual hobby activities. Sculpting a custom base for Fulgrim.

It went well, now I have to cut some brass rod to size and pin them. Then, on to drilling, pinning, and gluing the torsos and heads.

Played a game of Warmachine tonight. Took my mercs to the field. (Llaellese Resistance) The Skorne giant bronzeback or whatever its called, charged up and I netted it with a bucaneer, knocking it down. Then my crappy freebooter charged in and murdered it to death in the face. A 6pt model largely considered one of the worst jacks in the game, killed one of the biggest toughest beasts on the block.

My Freebooter charging in.

No more warbeast.

There's more going on in the battle out of frame. Alexia and her zombie horde is wrecking face.
Here we see Ashlynn survaying the end of the battle. Where Acosta is, was where the enemy caster was.

Not to worry, Morty comes with a scenic base... which is good, because if I had to sculpt anything for it the overall look of the model would decrease about 70%

The Batman demo last night went down well; there was more interest than I expcted so I decided to run a 4-way free for all hero deathmatch between Arrow, Batman, Ra's Al Ghul and Deathstroke. Ra's suvived all of Arrow's arsenal only to go down to a punch in the face from him, Deathstroke was on about half health and I (Batman) foolisly decided to take out the now-out-of-ammo Arrow. That fight went on far longer than expected thanks to some lucky blocks/terrible rolls on my part, so by the time I'd put him down, Deathstroke was back on full health, and the resulting fight did not go well for The Caped Crusader, who died ignominiously to a sword through the face...

Next week I'll be running some 'proper' games, see how that changes things up.

Had a bit of a howler today, tried to prime my slaanesh chosen and splurged the paint too thick all over the model.

Decided to get over it by repositioning the limbs on the Tzeentch chosen I had made. Ended up splurging super glue all over the model and will probably have to redo the arms (which I had spent ages breaking down into pieces and repositioning to have exactly the right pose).

Doh!

Gonna try to prime some more models today as it's *almost* reasonable priming weather...almost. Stockpiling for winter even though I probably won't manage to get through it all.
