For anyone that bought the digital codex you might notice that the advertised army builder feature is non existent. So just take this as a warning to anyone that wanted to buy it and was sold on that factor.
Currently in the process of notifying both apple and GW. Waiting for replies.
On a side note, you can find all sorts of deals on iTunes cards (up to 50% off) out there so you can get around GWs prices.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

They will eventually update the digital release, including the one you already bought, with the army builder.
Better they get the feature right than dump in a less than capable version.

Or they will release it separately with a price tag. As it stands there is nothing written about "will be released later".

This was already brought up a few days ago. GW is blaming Apple, but there is no reason to suspect that they'll charge extra for it. In fact they even say they will update the codex when they get it online.

Posted on the facebook page for GW digital. So who do they expect will see that? 618 likes...
The fact its on a tiny page on facebook and not on their main is annoying, the fact a email or any notification went out is just unprofessional.

I used to work on the Social Media team for a big cinema chain and GW will have noticed that many likes for a negative post.
If they didn't, they are woefully out of touch with both Social Media and their customers.

Wait... What?
You mean to say that they put a MSG up on the digital page only and NOT on the main GW page?
That's the single most moronic thing a Social Media rep can do when providing info on a broken service.
People will want info and a resolution, how can GW not realise this? It's not rocket science.

There is no more GW facebook page, and their stores and website are reporting nothing.
I reported it to Apple so we'll see what they say, and if it truly is a problem on their end.

Again, more stuff that doesn't make sense.
Why would they not have a central FB page?
It unifies news and keeps all info in one place, where the individual stores can concentrate on promotions and events for their store?
It seems that their entire Social Media team, if one exists, is run by a load of monkeys and not the helpful winged kind either.
Whoever advised them on this (as most companies have or have had Social Media advisors) has really misinformed them. Automatically Appended Next Post: I hope you get an answer from apple soon.

Apparently they couldn't take the heat. Got a lot of bad press after the "Spots" fiasco, and shortly after the Facebook page just disappeared, after their final word on the matter was a very unapologetic "We'll do whatever it takes to 'defend' our IP!"
I can understand holding the feature back because there are issues, but it's really bad form not to make some kind of public announcement about the missing feature...or at least making a public announcement where people will actually see it (like their website).

If that's the case, it's a piss poor excuse on GWs part if they can't handle criticism.
I totally agree with you there.

Granted not all of it was "fair" criticism, you can probably imagine what a lot of it was like after attracting all that negative attention, but saying "feth it!" and just shutting down the company's only public face was kind of lol-worthy, yeah.
