So This will probably be the first list I use for Codex marines. Switched from Codex DA so my biker squads are pretty small right now =(

Warlord: “Khan” (bike)-150pts

Troop 1: Biker Squad (x6 bikers, x2 flamers, melta bombs)-141pts
Troop 2: Biker Squad (x7 bikers, x2 melta, Melta bombs, Combi-melta)-182pts
Troop 3: Tactical squad (x10 marines, Heavy bolter, flamer, Rhino)-190pts

F/A 1: x2 Melta Attack bikes-110pts
F/A 2: Storm Talon (Skyhammer)-125pts

H/S 1: Thunderfire cannon “Angelus Pattern”-100pts

So the idea is that Khan goes into troop1 d to bring it up to seven, and to give them furious charge. Since they will be going after Infantry anyways, They are most likely to assault then not.

Troop 2 will drive around to melt stuff and attack higher toughness targets, but can also hit soft ones like marines and such.

Troop3 will drive around in their box, Scouting or outflanking onto objectives to claim them. They are geared to hold ground and fight other troops with the Rhino blocking sight and supporting The squad.

F/A 1 is going to melt tanks and cause distractions, outflanking when necessary

F/A 2 will fly on and hit stuff with missiles (of cource)

H/S 1 will blast stuff with a variety of rounds (yup, Made my own Thunderfire cannon

What do you think?

"Do you really think 7th edition was the best edition?"

"Yes, and I'm tired of thinking otherwise."

As a long time Scar player (thank the good lord Crudd for the new rules!), you're on the right lines for sure.

Some things to consider.
1) A dozer blade on a rhino is almost mandatory. A stranded rhino is a sad rhino.
2) At 1000pts you've got a lot of melta there. Combi-meltas are a bit of a waste in 1000pts when you already have melta. Maybe consider dropping the attack bike squadron and putting one into the melta bikes.

Maybe consider a tweak to the below. You can then combat squad down the bikes, which ups your scoring potential too. The vet sarge upgrade and claw is to make your combat unit just that little bit tastier.

Khan, moondraken - 150
8 Bikes, 2 Meltas, Attack Bike, Multi-Melta - 243
6 Bikes, Veteran Sergeant, Lightning Claw, Meltabomb, 2 Flamers - 166
10 Tactical Marines, 1 Flamer, 1 Combi-Flamer, Rhino, Dozer Blade - 195

Stormtalon, Skyhammer - 125
Thunderfire Cannon - 100

=1000

White Scars 2000 points
Guard 3000~ points
Grey Knights 875 points

Thanks! glad I can build a non banner of Devastation biker list!

I'm a little sad to see the 6 man biker squad a little gimpy, but that lightning claw should help a lot! And it helps the sergeant already has a sword I modeled on. really, the only thing holding me back from running this is that I only have one extra biker instead of two =(

For the tactical squad, though, I noticed you got rid of the heavy bolter in favor of a combi-flamer. Why? I'm curious, as I had it there for covering an objective.

Also, been thinking about the talon... Would a rifleman dread be a good replacement if it doesn't do well?

One more thing. I have been planing on getting another biker squad for my army and it would replace the tactical squad. the build would be:

Troop 3: Biker squad (x7 bikers, x2 grav-rifles, Combi-grav, Melta bombs)-193pts

For some monster killing!

Hey man, you're welcome. I've been playing Scars for a while - it can be a steep learning curve!

Personally, I would never 'pay' for heavy bolters. Even when you're bunkered down on an objective, your job is to not die. Some extra str5 is a bit redundant.

If you're outflanking them to clear objectives, the combi-flamer is definitely better. If you had the models, I'd say that 5 bikes with two flamers are probably better at this for less points but you have to work with what you have!

---

Grav is going to be brilliant for downing monsters but balanced is always key. Grav is crap against orks, guard and most of a daemon army. I'm going to be running squads of 6 with 2 grav and a combi-grav. Keeps it cheap with plenty of spare wounds. Its probably down to taste but I'd leave the meltabomb and extra dude at home!

Rifledreds are ... okay. They're also painfully un-White Scars, so I tend to ignore them. Frankly the best anti-flyer in the Marine dex is very much the Stormraven.

At 1500 consider replacing the Talon with a Raven:
Twin-linked assault cannon
Twin-linked mutli-melta
4 stormstrike missiles
= 200 points of gold.

A 1500 list might look like:

Khan, Drakken - 150
6 Bikes, 2 Grav, Combi-Grav - 166
6 Bikes, 2 Grav, Combi-Grav - 166
5 Bikes, 2 meltaguns, meltabombs - 130
6 Bikes. 2 flamers, vet sergeant, lightning claw, metlabomb - 166
5 Scouts, Meltabomb, Land Speeder Storm, Heavy Flamer - 105

Land Speeder Typhoons - 75
Land Speeder Typhoons - 75
3 Multi-Melta Attack Bikes - 165

Stormraven, Multi-Melta & Assault Cannon - 200
Thunderfire Cannon - 100

White Scars 2000 points
Guard 3000~ points
Grey Knights 875 points

I like this list. Typhoons are delicate, yes, but the 4+ cover save (jink +1 from CT), makes them a little more survivable.

That list does look awesome, but I think it kinda lacks some spice to it. Besides I can't afford that many bikers and the storm Raven @-@

I was thinking this as a step up to 1,500pts

Warlord: “Khan” (bike)-150pts
Command: Squad David (x5 grav rifles)-210pts

Troop 1: Biker Squad (x6 bikers, x2 flamers, melta bombs, Vet sarge, lightning claw, Attack bike w/ Heavy bolter)-211pts
Troop 2: Biker Squad (x8 bikers, x2 melta, MM Attack bike)-243pts
Troop 3: Biker squad (x7 bikers, x2 grav-rifles, Combi-grav, Melta bombs)-193pts

F/A 2: Storm Talon (Skyhammer)-125pts
H/S 1: Thunderfire cannon “Angelus Pattern”-100pts

DA Allies:
HQ: Librarian (PFG, auspex, Bike)-120pts
Troop: Scout squad (x5 scouts, bolters, Heavy bolter)-70pts
F/A 1: Darkshroud-80pts

Here I added a command squad with all grav weapons to hit the flanks or drive up the middle with prescience librarian support. I don't think anyone wants to be hit 15 gravity gun TL shots. It has potential to put out more wounds than a black knight squad ever wants to do.

But, I like your list a lot! and i think i may try to copy use your ideas along with mine in a few moments!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here is the Ripped off Altered list I made using your suggestion, Ross!

Warlord:Khan, Drakken - 150
Allied HQ: Librarian, Bike, Power field, auspex-120pts
Command: 5 vets, x5 grav guns-210pts

Troop 1: 6 Bikes, 2 Grav, Combi-Grav - 166
Troop 2: 6 Bikes, 2 melta - 146
Troop 3: 6 Bikes, 2 meltaguns, meltabombs - 151
Troop 4: 6 Bikes. 2 flamers, vet sergeant, lightning claw, meltabomb - 166
Allied troop: DA 5 scouts, x5 snipers-60pts

Land Speeder Typhoons - 75
Land Speeder Typhoons - 75
Allied Fast attack Darkshroud-80pts

Thunderfire Cannon - 100

Changed a grav squad to a melta squad so there are at least two, and added some DA support.

So i tried a 2V1 game of 3,000 points with this tweaked list...

I shouldn't have scout-move and got up so close that i was 2" away from 4 monstrous creatures.

Didn't help my dice rolling was crap too X-X grav guns brought down no MC's, generally from shity dice, and the most important hit and run failed with khan in it.

Maybe I shouldn't have fought against one of the armies i never beaten before....
