So I came up with a list I might actually be able to run by next weekend if I can get a few models painted, namely my stormtalon and khan. The white scars chapter tactics are pretty cool. Hit and run is amazing, the +1 to jink is also amazing and the icing on the cake would be +1 strength for hammer of wrath. Oh and the bikes also auto pass dangerous terrain tests. Madness.
Khan is pretty cool, his sword can cause instant death, his bike gives him d3 hammer of wrath attacks and he gives bike units and units with dedicated transports scout (outflank some cool stuff). He also lets you take bike squads as troops as long as he's rockin a bike which is not too shabby.
The librarian is decent for the points. He’s easy to replace with another thunderfire (if I ever make one). He will likely deep strike with the terminators. Power wise probably biomancy or telepathy, either one's primaris is easy to live with.
Khan's gonna go in the bike squad, likely outflank if it looks to be worthwhile. If enough bikes get into base to base it will mean 7-9 S5 hammer of wraths, that's pretty cool. And with auto passing dangerous you can be reckless with these guys.
The tactical squads will likely be combat squading. 2 combat squads with lascannons will likely be in the backfield, holding objectives or hiding in terrain. The other two are in the pods. Both pods have locator beacons for the termies and libby to potentially drop on.
The scouts in the storm will likely outflank and try and blind something or hold back and deny deep strikes near the thunderfire. The sniper rifle scouts will likely just chill in the back in some fortified terrain thanks to the bolster defence from the techpriest. Which I might add now works on more than just ruins, the only terrain it doesn't improve are fortifications, but who plays with those really?
The stormtalon is the only real aa in the list so it will likely target flyers when it comes in. If there’s no air targets it will just try and pin a unit that needs a good pinning or maybe pop light armor. Twin linked bs5 is insane.
The thunderfire will just hide way the hell in the backfield and just lob shells all game, now that it’s barrage it will be easy to hide and it will likely always have a target. That's incredibly sick.
