So I had a question about their deployment. If my opponent brought an Aegis Defense Line, could my ymgarl genestealers deploy out from the line?

Is it area terrain?

Answer: no it is not, so no you cannot deploy out of it.

See the terrain rules in the main rulebook as for what constitutes area terrain.

Probably an oversight, but while Ymgarl Genestealers require area terrain on the board to be deployed as Dormant, they are only require to be deployed in "terrain".

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Just double checked my codex, you are indeed correct.

Although then the question is how can you deploy 'in' non area terrain?

By putting them on top of said piece of terrain? I wouldn't try doing it anyway, I'm not TFG.

The Dormat rule clearly states that by using it, the unit can be placed in a piece of Area Terrain. Subsequent sentences just use the word "terrain", when referring to the piece in which they arrive, but it's clearly referring to that same piece of Area Terrain. There's really no ambiguity.
