So my girlfriend has acquired a large amount of used Chaos Space marine stuff over the past several months. Out of what she has I've put up a list for her but I do not know this codex well. I could use a hand. She's a big fan of slanesh and plans on making Noise Marines and Slaneshy bikers eventually for fun. Here's the list so far, mind you she already has all this stuff. I'm just putting up the WYSIWYG list.

HQ: 290pts
290 Slanesh Daemon Prince (Wings, Black Mace, Mastery level 2, Slanesh aligned)

219 Thousand Sons: (7 Thousand Sons and an Aspiring Sorcerer)

222 Chaos Space Marine Squad: 1Asp Champ and 9CSM (7 Bolters, 2x Plasma gun, Rhino: Combi Bolter, Havoc Launcher)

Base idea: Mind you, this is against me who plays Tau.
HQ: Daemon prince is a distraction. He SHOULD claim a unit or two on his own. I know Slanesh is the least powerful out of all of the Daemon Princes but its also the cheapest.
TROOP: Plasma squad should hold objectives midfield and offer fire support. Assault squad will ride in a Landraider to get to assault. That's what the dirgecaster is for.
ELITE: Distraction, but it should run in the Landraider midfield and drop off the unit to double tap in a single turn. They need to hitch a ride midfield or they'll get shot to pieces... but 14 S4 AP3 shots pumping into a squad is fairly scary for SMEQ. After that they'll focus on infantry destruction.
FAST ATTACK: Helldrakes are popping units they can with Baleflamers and vector strikes. Their the floodgate opening up turns 2 or 3 to help the midfield advance.
HS: Both Landraiders will be moving midfield. I know that's melta fire range but hopefully your Early firepower will tear into the scary melta. TL Lascannons pop Flyers (if any, I have none), or hunt Riptides and Hammerheads.
The defiler will start the game on the board and just hammer out shots. Ideally he'll be behind cover and just a happy camper/counter assault unit.

How is it? Also...What would you Add/Remove to add the following units (in production):
Biker Squad (slaneshy)
Biker Slanesh Lord with Murdersword possibly.
Noise Marine Squad.

for your chaos lord you can take one from the dark vengeance box set which are cheap and look cool, give him MoS to play the noise marines as troops. If you do noise marines, sorcerers are good (symphony of pain= -1BS & -1WS to targeted enemy unit, +1 S for friendly sonic weapons against said unit; cumulative). If you have NM you will not really need anything anti-infantry, mainly anti-vehicle so you can get havocs, obliterators, vindicators, tri-las predators, Chosen. Also, you might not need a rhino since you have two landraiders. I also am not a huge fan of the Defiler, but if you get good results with it stick with it. If you use its battle cannon I believe you can only shoot its reaper autocannon as snapshots...

-Noise Marines + Sorcerers. Gotcha. Sounds bamf, she'll like it, I'll hate it against me. Sounds good to me. (BS2 Riptide, Crisis suits, or pathfinders. yippee.
-We were looking at a MoS Lord and thats what we've been playtesting. She just doesn't own one yet. She has acquired the Daemon prince, but I think that'll go on the backburner for now.
- Both LandRaiders are full atm. One has a thousand son squad and the other has an assault CSM squad. She can drop the Thousand son squad and the Daemon Prince for a Noise marine squad (building from scratch) and a MoS Lord.
-The helldrakes can have the Hades Autocannons, and the LRs have lascannons. Between those, the defiler, 2x plasma (light tank/ MCs) a melta in an assault squad and what was the daemon prince, I had figured that may be enough anti tank. Perhaps the Bikes can carry some meltas instead.

Her current playstyle and strategy is: Capture Midfield thereby limiting my suit movement.
Get to an assault position and keep dirgecaster handy.

Her biggest issue is dealing with tanks and the riptide... but we've only been playing up to 1k and she's never fielded the LR, defiler, or plasma/melta squads (She just got them used last week from a buddy of mine) I suppose you're right in the needing for anti tank but to me it had seemed like a healthy match. Although we are trading a Daemonprince and something else for a squad of Noisemarines and a lord....so I can see the need to pull a higher strength thing.

I wouldn't give heldrakes hades autocannons. Baleflamers is the way to go hands down for them. A demon prince is very expensive, but you can make him worth his points
demon prince with wings can vector strike, black mace is good if you swoop in and land to start dishing out some nasty attacks, think about giving him Last Memory from the Black Legion supplement.

And I did say that symphony of pain is cumulative... if she's shooting at the same unit for another turn and cast that power again you have -2 BS and -2 WS and she has +2 strength to her weapon (if you have daemon prince in your army still and he's a psych, he can roll for the same malediction and stack it with the sorcs). Besides that power try rolling on the biomancy table for enfeeble, endurance, and haemorrhage.

you will be giving NM sonic blasters, but don't forget blastmasters, they are high strength, decent ap, ignore cover, but also are pinning. They can be used as anti-tank too (its a sonic weapon so place 2 charges of symphony of pain on a unit from two of your psych people onto either infantry or tank and its shooting at str 10)

Land raiders will be your anti-tank by far, tri-las predators are a nice price and can be a good anti-tank, vindicator is good anti-tank and anti-infantry and is the cheapest of the 3. I would say get rid of the defiler and get a vindicator with alot of extra points to spare. Havocs are also a possibility and can provide anti-air (ADL is another anti-air choice) but will die alot easier.

With black legion supplement CSM is blood brothers with CSM= 3 HQ's, 4 FA, 4 HS, lots of troops. If the chaos gods are on her side she will roll right for sorc powers and will roll a 3 on the csm codex

Definitely need more troops at 2000pts.

I'm not sold on the CSMs assaulting out of the land raider. Whilst they are better than the average run of the mill marine, she'll have to pick her target carefully to make sure it is overwhelmed and not vice versa (okay possibly not an issue if your facing guard or Tau). Even with the DPrince I think there needs to be a lot more to push up with the landraiders to make the force scarey assaulty.

If riptides are a problem I think you need to go with lascannons from range, cheapest being predators kitted out with them and then plasmaguns and then crack grenades up close (I think youcan crack monsterous creatures) . I'm thinking bikes with plasmaguns, combi-plasmaguns and a lord in the mix, with a combi-plasma gun for good measure and to make them fearless! - a decent unit with a lord should come in around 260ish points. Just need to get them within 12" of that slippery Riptide, sneak em up behind a landraider?
