I've been trying to get in to a stable online game of Exalted for some time now, but the last two times I tried... well, IRL drama with the storyteller and one of the players (the same storyteller and two different players, in this instance) caused the games to fade away. I love the setting of Exalted, it's so rich and epic, and has amazing storytelling capabilities, and I really want a chance to play with the setting, rather than discarding it.

So yeah. Some info:

Experience: I've played White Wolf games before, but I'm rusty at them, and I've only done limited gameplay of Exalted (two battles, one social scene, in terms of rolls). I don't think I'm capable of DMing the game at this point, not experienced enough, although I have immersed myself in its lore.

Method: I'd prefer to do it over a text chat program, such as Skype's chat, or Steam. I can't do voice chat. I'm willing to sign up for methods to prove your rolls if needed.

Time: Since I've started college again to finish a management degree, I don't have much time except in the evenings and on weekends. I'm acailble five PM to midnight central standard time monday-thursday, and all day saturday and sunday,.

Preferences: I'm willing to play anything but Lunars, although I'd prefer a heroic campaign over a villainous one (barring renegade Abyssals).


Does anyone have a group open for a new player? Or does anyone have any questions about the setting of Exalted, the lore, the mechanics, and so on and so forth? Even if I don't find a game,ti'd be nice to talk about it at least. It's one of my favorite settings, lore-wise.

Also willing to help start a new group and help gather players if someone wants to DM. Though this place doesn't seem to have many White Wolf players... I can still find them in other forums.

I love Exalted, ran a game that lasted a good long while but not currently doing anything with it. I actually prefer Dragon Blood games, since story and charms wise they work better as a dedicated team. Plus the power levels don't go as wonky. I haven't used any of the errata (EX2.5) stuff, since I tend to just ignore or change things I don't like and play things a bit loose rules wise as a storyteller.

Stoked (not a word I use lightly) about EX3. I have very high hopes.

Yeah, I'm interested in seeing what they're going to do with 3rd edition, as well. Sadly, it looks like Abyssals will be relegated to almost last place when it comes to receiving their own splatbook.

Yeah, Abyssals are my third favorite after DBs and Solars, but I'm sure we can cobble something together using that preview. Have you seen

That's neat. Seems a little incoherent though, but that might just be my reading of it.

Since I haven't had any luck at all at any of the dozen or so places I've looked, I'm trying to start a group of my own, even though I imagine I'm going to regret GMing even as I'm learning the system.
