In the Assault Squad entry, it says when they remove their packs, they become Infantry.

In the Vanguard Vets entry, there is no line saying they become Jump Infantry.

The only relevance to this would be if you wanted to hold VV in reserve and attach Shrike to the unit.

Is there anywhere in the rules that governs a situation like this?
