so today i ran a sort of fun style list at a 1850pt turni and it didnt do hafe bad! 2-1-0 was my record. here was my list
HQ:
Big mek, KFF,cybork,bosspole
ELITES:
10x lootas
10x lootas
TROOPS:
11x grots
11x shoota boyz
20x shoota boyz
20x shoota boyz
20x shoota boyz
FAST ATTACK:
dakkajet ESS
dakkajet ESS
ALLIES: SALLYS WITH SALY TACTICS.
HQ:

my question is how do i make this BETTER?
i want to try to keep the Salys because i love them they are green and great!

I can understand the meltas, but I reckon you don't need to add flamers or assault to an Ork force with Space Marine allies.
Put your Lootas in smaller squads - three of 7 instead of two of 10 is more efficient. Then take three Big Guns units, Kannon or Lobba or a mix. I'd probably cut the 11 Shootas and merge the Shoota mobs into two of 30.
Not sure about how the new SM codex works, but its something like a bonus to Meltas using Sallies? Do you need a presumably expensive HQ to do this, or can it be covered by simple chapter tactics?
I've got a tournament next weekend I've gotta submit a list for by tomorrow... wondering if its possible to piggyback on this idea!

Dakkamite, you need Vulkan to get TL meltas, if memory serves right, and he's something like 190 pts The chapter tactics just TL your flame weapons, which is presumably why he's taking flamers.
Orkimedezz, I agree with what Dakkamite said, and I'd drop the assault pod. I'd try to find room for an Ironclad Dreadnought in a pod, because they are really sturdy DP units. Plus, front and side armor 13 is nothing to laugh at when paired with orks.

The chap tactics makes all flamers reroll to wound and makes you be able to reroll saves vs flamers.
Vulk makes all melta weps mastercrafted not TL
As if you hit you can reroll to pen
I think maybe keeping the squads of 20boyz are good for more scoring as SM are desperate allies! But spliting lootas or dropping them all together might be a good idea.
The assault marines are not for assaulting they are for the fire and a cheap form of 2 flamers.
The flamers are great vs hored like IG nids and other ork armys. In a shooty ed i feel ironclads should stay with there marines as i found having 0 vehicles really pisses off your DE- IG- SM
opponents as they have nothing to shot with there single shot anti tank weps besides some boyz

What are your plans to deal with deathstar armies?
I know when you went up against me I almost tabled you with my non optomized RC+DP list and had it not been for the silly missions we use and time restraints it may not have been a draw between us

i wouldnt call a draw almost tabled
but remember that was a panic list. and also the point of the post was to see what i should change and such. orks cant handle deathstars to well because all the good ones whip a squad in 1-2turns

Well I am trying to help you vs deathstars I just need to know your plan for them, are you going to try and tarpit them? Ignore them and go for the other stuff? That way I can get a good idea on what to drop/add
EDIT: oh and even though it was a draw that was purely because of the mission I still nearly tabled you

Like i said orks cant handle dumb deathstars! If they run into them 90% of the time they loss! Not much i can say i can do.
And as for the match i was no where near being tabled pics or fake
The mission was equal for everyone
