a quick question that should be easy for anyone to answer who isnt me (obviously)

When do the points hit high enough to have a 3rd FOC?

4000 points I'd imagine.

1 for 0-1999
2 for 2000-3999
3 for 4000-5999

But above 3000ish points I think you will find that most people will drop the FOC and just go to APOC rules.

They don't. You are allowed to take a 2nd FOC in games of 2000+ points. There is no allowance for a 3rd.

I have a 5000pt list in two FOCs sans allies. But that's GK, where it's easy to rack up points quite quickly.

As to the rules, it's quite clear in the BRB: at 2000+pts, you may have a second FOC. There's no rules for taking a third.

Knowing that limitation, I'd say what Carnage listed is a pretty good house rule. Just be sure you and your opponent KNOW it's a House Rule, and that you both agree on it.

This is something you will have to discuss with your opponent.

You get a second FOC at 2k+. If you want to add more you will have to make a house rule, and ask your opponent if they are ok with it.

That's it in a nutshell.

So in APOC with no FOC requirements you could just spam Wraithknights for 4500 points?

There are only a few rules in regards to building your army;
1. Units must be the proper size (min to max).
2. If a model is Unique (such as Ghazkull) there can only be one in the entire game.
3. All models are strict WYSIWYG.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Just a suggestion, at that point level apoc rules are pretty slick so you might consider picking the book up. They actually help the game move a bit more and the master of disaster rules certainly add a fun dimension to the game.
