Got my mat yesterday, it's a 3' x 3' wasteland with no logo. I'm really happy with it, it looks good and arrived with no problems. The curling you can see in one of the pics is because I'd only just taken it out of the tube it was shipped in.
Note, for those who have seen Frontline Gaming's mats, these are much thinner. So, that was a little surprising.
But the space theme is absolutely awesome, and I am very happy with the mat, and the purchasing experience. Thanks, Deep Cut!
Do you have a frontline one to take a picture of them next to each other? That might push me either way.

Yes, I do- I'll try to snap a pic in a day or two of the comparison. The thickness doesn't matter so much once you're actually playing on it, of course, but might make one or the other more durable, etc (Frontline's material is basically that of a mousepad, I'm not exactly sure what Deep Cut's is).
Mine was marked as shipped on May 1st but I haven't gotten anything yet. It didn't provide a name for a shipping company or a tracking number, either, just says "shipped" on PayPal. It's international shipping so it doesn't really mean anything yet, but still.
So do you think durability is really an issue? I had a feeling it might be a bit on the thinner side but I imagine it's not literally like paper or anything. Judging from the pic earlier up it looks like the image quality is pretty decent, which is really what I was interested in. My GaleForce9 mat is printed on that mouse pad material and I'm not really a big fan, since like a mouse pad the image doesn't look very "crisp". At least to me anyway.

Size DOES matter! With that in mind most of our wargame mats will be available not only as 4x6 feet size, but as 3x3 and 4x4 feet as well to suit Malifaux and most other miniature skirmish games. All space themed mats will also be available as 3x6 feet size to suit the Epic Battle format for X-Wing. We will launch them on 26th of May, until then all preorders receive -10% discount. Grab some at our webshop and impress your comrades!

Just picked up my 6x4 Arctic Tundra mat today from the PO. Overall very impressed. The mat is about 0.5mm thick but feels strong. Unrolled nicely and lay fairly flat without any reverse rolling. The surface is not too glossy or slippery.
The only crit I would have is that the source image used for the snow is clearly lower res than the part used for the cracked ice. Either that or the source image was slightly blurry.
Looking forward to getting a game in tomorrow on it
I did finally get my mat on...I think it was Friday, I can't remember. Had a messed up week (had to work Friday and found out a friend might have cancer), and just now had time to look at it.
I got a 6'x4' mat, and I didn't unfurl it all the way because I don't really have a lot of room, but you probably get the idea anyway.
I realize the pictures aren't great, the lighting in here is terrible and I think I shrank the photos down too much (they were originally more than twice as big and I didn't want to stretch the thread out), but I think it looks pretty damn good. The dry, cracked places on the mat are kinda fuzzy-looking up close, but the rocky details and sand/dirt are reasonably sharp, and when you're a few feet away it all comes together pretty nicely anyway. It was pricey, but I now have a portable, nicely-detailed and perfectly flat playing surface that I didn't have to put any real effort into, and I think once I get some modular 3D elements made, it'll be pretty fun to play on. Painting the terrain to match may be a challenge, but I'm already getting ideas for using crackle medium and some bark chips to mimic some of the mat details. Playing on this map on MWO gave me some inspiration, too.
Also, I guess you can't really tell since it's not completely unfurled, but no logo! Hopefully Deep-Cut doesn't mind too much (they did get my money after all and got me off the fence), I'll do plenty of advertising for them if I meet anyone in the market for a gaming mat or if someone sees me playing on it and asks. Bad thing is I really want one of the snow/arctic-themed mats now and I'll have to pay extra to get that logo removed.
As far as durability goes I'm just going to mimic RiTides and others. Not too glossy, not too slippery...models will probably slide across it just fine, though I haven't actually played on it. Rolling dice across the surface may not sound as "satisfying" I imagine, but if you really wanted you could probably roll most of your dice in a tray (you probably should anyway). It's really thin, kinda like thick card stock paper more than anything, but it doesn't feel "weak" to me. Naturally I didn't try very hard because I didn't want to actually rip it, but I picked a small corner to test it and I figure it might take some effort to do. You can probably cut it fairly easily with a pair of scissors or a sharp knife though, and I'd be afraid of getting it snagged on something, so you'd probably still want to be careful with it but not much more than the thicker "mouse pad" mats I would think. No idea how you would fare with food/drink spills though, but for me personally I prefer to be careful with that around my gaming stuff anyway and would just rather not have it sitting on/near the table to begin with.
I might build a folding frame out of 1x2's for it to sit inside of, and I should be able to fit it in my car or store it away in the closet and set up on top of an existing table to play on...unlike the last table I built which is big, heavy, and likely never leaving the basement at my dad's place where it's been set up for about 8 years. But yeah, if we're talking purely budget-wise you'd still be better off buying a big sheet of plywood or foam and just gluing sand to it, or if time is no issue and you love doing extensive terrain-building projects then otherwise building your own 3D gaming table would probably be better, but for me personally the gaming mat is just more practical due to space issues, time, etc.

If you boys want to sell these mats you might want to start responding to Messages sent through your website. I dont have à whole lot of trust in ordening with you if you dont even respond.
@Aliusexalio: so far every message we received had a reply even if it was a 'thank you for your feedback' message. If you sent us an answer, you might want to check your spam folder for a reply - we heard some cases that our emails sometimes end up there.
@Aplharius: probably for the next 'size DOES mater' release. Currently 3x3 Ocean mats are available as custom prints.
@Aidstyler: yes, you can easily cut the mat with scissors, hobby knife or cutting blade. The edges will not get frayed. Surface is stain-proof. It's even compatible with water-based markers. Also the mat has enough strength to make a hammock out of it (anyone wants to make a review? )
If you're thinking about Zuzzy vs Deep Cut, realize that I'm sitting on a Zuzzy order from ten+ weeks ago, and I've sent three emails, and received no response to my requests for communication. No matter how cheap zuzzy is, if you need it in any hurry, you're not going to get it.
Deep Cut, for all of it costing more than Zuzzy, at least it's something you'll get in a decent amount of time. And it's finished, ready to play right out of the tube. It's durable. I have both, and while I like both, the hassle in getting my two new zuzzy mats makes me regret not getting Deep Cut mats instead.

I have both too, and like them each for different things. I'll be making a big gaming surface review / comparison post when I get the last few items I'm waiting on this summer, and will compare them then.
We teamed up with Bad Roll Games and their products for Punkapocalyptic miniature game are now available on our webshop. Check them out - it‘s a great skirmish game with interesting mechanics. Free rules are available at http://www.badrollgames.com/en/downloads/
Initiative : Tabletop did a great video review of our Wasteland mat. Have a look at it to see the mat in motion.
Time for a teaser. We love teasers!
And let's make an improvised contest out of it too – leave a comment about what it is going to be on our FB page and win a free mat on the very first day it is released.

If it's bloodbowl it's messed up because the sides are supposed to be four squares not three.

Finally we can announce that first of many upcoming fantasy football mats is here. We are glad it received a lot of attention and feedback from you and we hope that final release will find a place on your tables. It is manufactured from a sturdy vinyl and has a scratch resistant high quality print. Virtually it will take hundreds of games to at least see the first marks of its use. Check it out at our gallery or webshop for more close-ups.

Might want to recount.
Yep, well at least they looked at it again and fixed it. The first picture had only three in the wideout area. I'm glad they listen to feedback, says a lot about them.

Deep Cut edited the board after his comment. He was spot on on the preview pic.
