I have an idea for a list... something cool and fun to play. I'd like to think it's good, maybe even competitive, because it has an answer for everything. Tactics and Target priority are everything with this list.

It's 9 models if you count the Redoubt... but that's more of terrain.

The Vindicaire is posted inside the Redoubt. Draigo joins the paladin with the Daemon Hammer (I figure his weakness is going to be wraithknights or something that's not a daemon/psyker with high toughness).

The Dreadknights score from Draigo's Grand Master ability (or scout if it's Big Guns Never Tire). First turn they shunt and flame on. After that, they assault and destroy whatever they can. Str 10 force weapons are pretty narly... only EW models have a chance at fighting them.


Now, I'm going to make this an AdMech army I think. Here are the models I'm going to use.

Draigo, Paladins -> Thallax cohort models from Forgeworld. I'll just convert them to have storm bolters on one arm and a weapon arms for the other.
Vindicaire -> Modified Eldar sniper character... forget his name.
Callidus -> Darke Eldar Medusa
Dreadknights -> Castellan Cohort

The theme is a heavy skittari group of fighters with some experimental constructs fighting on the frontlines of whatever planet the Imperium (or the Traitor Legions) invade.


What do we think? I think there is an answer for everything in here and the only change I would make is possibly replacing the 200 point redoubt with a storm raven. I like the redoubt because it keeps the Vindicaire safe and allows me to hide my troops/an objective.

How many points does it come to? How are you going to deal with horde/artillery lists?

It seems extremely fragile to me with so few models. Perhaps it is because I play guard.

i recall something like this list floating around at the back end of 5th ed.

was naughty back then, so go for it.

Although marines with grav will just laugh at you.

Lol, grav weapons... I figure that Hell Turkeys won't bother me and you can't win them all!

1750 is the point level. If we go up to 1850 I might get an eversor to hide behind the redoubt and act as a counter assault unit.

Indeed, i would consider swapping 1 knight for a raven though.

I own a Night Lords storm raven, so I could just use that. Would it be better to switch out the redoubt and some upgrades?
