Very nice work - how long did that take, especially with all those gems?

Interesting looking one, and kudos for painting one.

It's overall very nice, but imho, it's very plain. Airbrushed, I presume. Could we get a better pic about the freehand at the loinarmor? That one looks neat, even though it's a slightly weird place to place eyecatcher.

What I really don't like, is the faceplate. It looks sloppy, and very thick with paint and/or varnish. And blue glow on guns looks out of place, without defining real lightsource made.

Gems are nice, as previously said. They work well with the black matte armor. But since you apparently decided to paint all of them, you still left some not painted? Why is that?

Golden joints and gun adds are cool, what did you use to make them?

Cheers, it's not easy to make one!

I'm afraid these are all the pics that I can take now as the client has picked the model up already. The biggest thing for us at the studio is making the client happy, and as everyone has different tastes this can often mean not everyone will like everything about a peice, sometimes myself included, however for the sake of continuity with their exsisting model, or personal tastes some features must be included. For example this client has a rather impressive apocalypse style force already, with almost every gem painted on most of the miniatures, so to fit in this guy needs to be super bling! However after getting into it i realised just ow many 'gems' the model has on it, some of whic are VERY large, so i chose not to do them all as just a large number of HUGE gems would look too funky.

For the golden joints and bits, they are all just part of the kit so I assume you mean the colour; the basecoat is brassy brass, one of my personal favourites from vallejo game colour.

Awesome job, looks very.... understated, and I think (certainly with this model) that less is more, especially when eldar are usually painted so brightly.

Hmmm. Your painting skill is superb, but this one just doesn't do the trick for me. I think that the bulk of the model is shaded too lightly. He's too grey, and not enough black, for the Ulthwe color scheme in my opinion.

Excellent job on the gems, incidentally. I like the glossier black on the helmet, but I think I would rather see that shade of black across the whole armor.

Still, what's most important is the happiness of the customer, and I'm sure they'll be thrilled with this piece.

Understated is an intresting view! I was worried he was a little OTT after painting god knows how many gems :p

Wow, Very nice! I wish the model didn't have so many gems on it, since it can tend to look a bit crowded. You make them all look incredible, it looks so warm and alive.

The model looks great (maybe a little heavy on the OSL for the suncannon) I think that is an easy habit to form when airbrushingt though.

Is it magnetized?

While I'm not a huge fan of the scheme, the way it's been executed is excellent. I like the blending and really like that it's all been magnatised.
