Going to try out this list tomorrow, what do you think?
HQ:
Fateweaver
Herald of Tzeentch
disc, grimoire, Mlvl3
Herald of Tzeentch
disc, portaglyph, Mlvl3
Herald of Tzeentch
disc, exalted locus of conjuration, Mlvl3
Troops:
13 horrors
irridecent horror
13 horrors
Fast attack:
9 Screamers
15 flesh hounds
15 flesh hounds
Heavy support:
Khorne grinder
baleful torrent
Khorne grinder
baleful torrent
total: 1999pts.
Going up against DE venomspam+ IG allies, so didn't feel like spamming FMC. The IG will just be moped up by the hounds and my plan is to run havoc with the screamerstar amids all those venoms. Comments are welcome. In previous games my opponent has had some problems dealing with my grinders, so decided to include them to put some gray hairs onto his head

Why Khorne Grinders out of everything? Just no.
Slow and useless, with the weapon that you've given it, it won't even do anything before DE go pew pew and it's dead.
Skull Cannons would be good against DE for sure, Ignore Cover, S8 gives pseudo grenades for much cheaper.
I don't know, I feel like giving the Tzeentch Herald with Grimore a Greater gift as it gives him a good chance of surviving if he rolls the correct gift.
If he rolls one of the shooting ones I would use him to roll entirely on the Div table.
Good luck fighting DE venomspam though, besides the screamerstar unit I can't see anything live long enough to get to the combat lines. And pink horrors will never be in range to shoot them.

The grinders will deepstrike, flame stuff and by that time my dogs will be in the midst of the enemy eating away at venoms. Why khorne grinders? Well they are cheap, i have played them many times and they allways perform more than well. To give them any other mark is to waste points pretty much. Ok if i would not give them any weapon upgrade, then slaanesh, Tzeentch is just useless, nurgle will give them loads of help if i would be using bombardment, but their purpose is to act as horde control, killing pesky dudes in cover on turn 2 with the torrents. nurgle grinders are just too expencive and there are so many things that ignore cover, or because of the model, you might not get it into cover at all, so the nurgle mark is useless again.
Also you can't give a greater reward to a herald with an exalted reward. Max 30pts of rewards. Also giving a single greater reward is just stupid in hopes of rolling a survival gift. The heralds are perfectly safe in the screamer star, that has 2++ rerollable save. If the enemy decides to kill them, they pretty much have to empty everything they got into the unit. That leaves two big units of dogs galloping into their ranks on the following turn.
Skull cannons could be good, but i think not so much against venom spam as all of the DE are in transports. Also AV12 is just crappy vulnerable compared to AV13. Also i only got one cannon, and i feel they should be run in pairs. They would work well with the dogs, but in this list the dogs are pretty much a distraction away from my screamer star on turn 1.
Still thanks for the comments. It's good to hear peoples thoughts, because sometimes you can miss something critical in your list building and someone might catch it.

Deep striking them just means more fire power diverted to shooting the rest of the things on the table. And it also means that the Dark Lances and Manticores I presume from the IG will blast your Dogs away as they all ID your dogs.
I still think that Nurgle Soul Grinders shooting would benefit you a lot more though, but YMMV.
I thought Heralds can take 50 points of rewards? Don't have the book on me, but sure.
Heralds aren't completely safe from getting sniped or what so ever, once the Grimorie goes down it's bye bye to your star.
Depending on who has first turn and what the DE + IG list is, they can easily have enough fire power to wipe both dog squads out. No one would shoot the Screamerstar while the 2++ is up and there's something else on the table.
Not sure what you mean by AV12 is crappy vunerable since all DE vehicles are AV10, and 12/11/10 for the chimeras or whatever the IG have. If it's a Venom spam maybe not worth as much, but it kills DE/ IG troops really well.

Last time we played at 1750pts, i didn't have the screamerstar, had the same hounds and a third khorne grinder. The hounds and grinders tore his venomspam list apart and i won with wipe out. If i had the models, i would propably bring a third hound squad, change the heralds of Tzeentch to khorne and run his list down with those, but as i don't have the models, i decided to try the screamerstar as i have models to that. In my experience the nurgle grinder has never brought his points back even close in a game. Every time i bring the khorne grinders, they come in in a situation, where my enemy has so many targets to deal with that they get neglected and survive to the late turns, but as you said YMMV.

Ended up winning the venomspam with my list 12-1 We played crusade with vanguard strike. fateweaver went down, but my screamerstar didn't lose a single screamer Dogs went all down by turn 4, but managed to draw loads of enemy fire and my other units got basically a free pass untill then.
