So being a big 40k fan for quite a long time, I'm finally getting my own army started:

Other models I have in my collection:
- 10x Assault marines
- 5x Sternguard veterans
- (The 'Rhino' in the list will actually be a magnetized razorback)

Thoughts?

Looks pretty solid. Hopefully no one is bringing flyers at this level as you could only ignore it. what is your plan with the vanguard unit? run into combat? or sit back and wait?

I'm not solid on the tactics yet, but I'll be attempting to advance the vanguard vets + chaplain forward into combat, storm shield guys in the front. Though with a low model count like that, maybe a more careful approach is warranted?

Yeah, looking at your army, if that squad dies before they get to hit, you lose cc potential plus a lot of points poured in. Depending on the mission you can make your enemy come to you, keep them lurking around, because even if they got shot with 10 marines rapid firing bolters, you would lose 3, its just a low body count with still a three plus save. I wouldn't be worried about denying your save, as the storm shields, but just making you take a bunch of them.
