I have posted a very similar list a while back but haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet. Here is my revamped 'Blitzkrieg' Orks list for 1500. It's somewhat standard and uses the models that I currently own. Let me know what you think and if some things can be tweaked.

TOTAL = 1500

Idea is that the Big Meks with KFFs sit in the battlewagons with 19 boyz. These form the far left and far right of the trio of wagons. Then the center wagon holds the 20 shoota boyz. These three battlewagons drive forward and act as a moveable bunker for all the shoota boyz to fire out of. The KFFs overlap on the middle so every wagon is covered by at least one forcefield,.

Dakka Jets are there to arrive and lay down even more fire support and possibly Waagh! when / if my boyz need to disembark and charge. They are also there for anti flier etc.
The Deffkopta is there because I have the model and I had a few extra points. I am worried he is going to become easy first blood. I may substitute him out for some grots to take a home objective or something. Thoughts? I can also remove him and make one of the dakkajets into a burna bomma for added anti-horde and for the fire lulz, but I don't think I will really need it.

Before you all get up in arms about how there are no lootas, i understand. I think they are great. I just don't want to be buying new models right now unless absolutely necessary. Plus, Dakkajets are sort of like flying lootas anyway

I have in the past used my 2 battlewagons' deff rollas to ram the hell out of other vehicles - the D6 S10 seems to do just fine against landraiders and monoliths.

Yeha that's the idea. Usually the nly tanks I see are either Leman Russ battle tanks, which are always at the back, behind waves of doods, or they are rhinos, which big shoota glances, dakkajets, and deff rollas should be able to take out. If not, Ork probems are usually solved by a liberal application of power klaws to the problem areas haha.

What would you suggest for anti-tank in the future though, if I were to expand? More deffkoptas with rokkits? Lootaz with an ADL?

Deftcoptas with Rokkits are probably my Favourite Unit to take. I find trying to break av14 is a pain in the ass unless applying the correct amount of Powerklaw too rear but yea rokkits are good fun for popping transports and light tanks, and My favourite against Farsight Enclaves and Mass Crisis Suits.

So the burnas on the meks. Da evy arms on da nobz and the 9x Big shootas on the bws and the random deffkopta seems to out of place. Deffkoptas are best in large amounts and ditching all those pts can get you back about 80-100pts (remembering on the fly) witch can get you abit of anti tank and anti air with a squad of 5-7lootas (depends on pts) no lootas is just a shame and grot tanks may be a good option

If reducing the big shootas how many should I take? 2 per wagon? That's 30 points off, then removing the armor on nobz is another 15 I think, so that's 45 points. That could get me another deffkopta, which then makes a pair (and I already have the model). That could be a good alternative. I could also drop both deffkoptaz and get around 8 lootaz I think, which sounds quite tasty now that I think about it. I will certainly consider. Thanks for the suggestions!

Yes!!! It would be a shame to remove that good looking burna!
I only take 1per wagon so if they roll a 3 and i get wep destroyed its not automadicly immobilized so just lossing the shoota is way better than lossing ur deffrolla. I think of it as insurance lol. Also you are only shooting 1wep at full bs anyway so its a waste of 5pts.
I think getting the lootas would be a better idea than the koptas n shootas n evys and most weps ignore evy arm anyway in cc and in shooting.

True.

I like the 2 BS idea because I lose a BS from the boyz squad due to taking the big mek. So that way I have two on the wagon, one in the squad, and then all the boyz shooting out the open top. Lots of dakka. And so what if they are BS1, they are BS2 normally haha. So lots of shots is always good. I like the range of the big shootas though because they help me deal with other longer range things that can take out my wagons.

I would even drop down to 1 shoota per wagon
I strongly advise against running deffkoptas in squads bigger then 2, since they break and never come back so easy
dont see why there are 2 big meks though =/
I'd probably run a warboss instead or whatnot

Fair enough.
The problem with orks is that they are fairly easy to kill. Most of my models have standard upgrades (nob with BP and PK, Trukks with RPJ) simply because they CAN be a waste of points. This list is quite similar to the list I am (slowly) building up to. I'd still run the meks bare bone with KFF (yes I am drooling over your burnas) and use those points and any other stuff you could live without like 'Eavy armour and some extra big shootas from the wagons (because lets face it, if you had the opportunity to ram, you'd ram, then you can't shoot them anyways) and upgrade that deffkopta into another dakkajet or bomba of your choice (I'd magnetize it so you could switch back and forth depending on who you're fighting). Any extra points can go into more big shootas for you wagons or maybe armour plates to protect against crew stunned.

Thanks for the compliments I have found that more often then not, these guys are getting charged after their wagon explodes (I play a lot of Khorne and Daemon players) so having the burna for wall of death is always fun if I need it. Or I save it for the power weapon hits and kill a berserker from behind

I hear what you are saying about the upgrades. I will certainly consider dropping some of those upgrades to try and squeeze in some other goodies (possibly lootaz). I still think that the two big shootas is going to be worth the investment though, as it reduces the deff rolla being removed to 1/3 instead of 1/2 which is significant too, and worth 5 points in my book (plus it's dakka dakka )

I have the first dakkajet magnetized and kustomized to be either a burn bommer or a dakkajet, but for these points costs, the dakkajet seems like the better choice sans lootaz. Once I get some Lootaz, I think the burna bombs could be really fun to try and toast some IG and Tau sitting in cover ... if he makes it there that is haha.

Also, any rumors as to when da boyz get a new codex? Should be soonish right?

people disagree on witch is better footsloggin or bws. its just with the adition of the "new tau meta" bws are better cus tau has a heck of a time dealing with av14 and orks can bring the most av14 in the game. may not be good av14 but if they cant pen it than you got nothin to worry about

I see a lot of Tau at my GW... and seriously, Tau! At least when I lose with Orks it's just Orks. When the elite of my Dark Angels get torn to ribbons without so much as a getting a sneeze off in retaliation it's extremely frustrating.
