We keep making Dota 2 threads and they last around 10-15 posts and die. 
There's a group of us who play it semi regularly (me, Vitruvian, Purplefood and Soladrin). We're all really bad.
Slarg doesn't play, ever. Just saying.

I was hopelessly addicted for awhile but my wife and I decided that it was best if I uninstall. I really knew in the process of that addiction that I wasn't even really having fun. Sure dominating a game was fun but just as often I was stuck in a pug getting massacred

Tried it, didn't like it. Too many things to micromanage at one time, confusing interface, way too steep learning curve, same bloody map every single game, "lol get gud scrub" types everywhere....
It's basically League of Legends, except you aren't allowed to hate it because LOLVALVE.

I just started playing DOTA 2 very recently. I'm pretty good at LoL, and my skills mostly transferred over, I've only played about 5-10 games so far, but I've done pretty well.
I've noticed that last hitting is way harder in DOTA, and the whole laning dynamic is a lot weirder. Also Bots are way smarter in DOTA, it was really refreshing.
