I haven't played a game of 40k since 4th edition, but I put this together after reading the advice given to other ork players here on Dakkadakka. I know dual warpheads isn't considered competitive, but they should be a lot of fun and I'm definitely more of a casual gamer; I just don't want to lose aaall the time.

Anyways, the basic plan is to run each of the warpheads with a big ork mob and slog all three forwards together to get into prime dakka range, with lootas providing fire support from some ruins.

Then for the escalation to 1500 points to just pad out my troops, add some more lootas and then dakkajets for even MORE dakka. The jets should synergise well with 2 warpheads to generate extra chances of Waaagh!s and between them and the lootas I should be sorted for anti-air too.

I've kept the lootas below 11 so they can gtg and get snap shots off, but perhaps they'll be too squishy at just 8 models?

I'm also wondering about including grots at either or both points limits to secure any back objectives.

Old Zogwort has also grabbed my attention, he seems like he'd be a bit of a beast in combat and has that hilarious squig power to boot. It just seems like quite a lot to invest into a single model when there always more boys...

So, what do you guys think?

Battle Barge Impossible Fortress

I think Orks bring enough bodies. I'm sure you can fit old Zogwort in there. Since Ahriman/Fateweaver got changed around, no one besides Orks has a "Go ahead and remove yourself from play and turn into something else" ability.

In my experience, and by that I mean from being on the receiving end of their guns, Lootaz are best maxed out when possible. Just my 2 cents.

Sweet and Yea for the bigger list drag old Zog in he Is Fun to play ..
Lootas Go for Groups of 5 (I am being Cheap but want them out there 2 kills till Ldr) 9 (GTG 3 kills till Ldr) or 15 (Fearless till 5 are dead) ..skip the middlin numbers
add some big gunz Kannon (Genral Purpose Anti Tank- Anti MEQ..even anti Horde).. . Hang onto the Dakkajets just way to good when the Wahhgs roll in ....
Groups of 20-25 Shoota Boyz are always good ..I prefer 4 Groups of 20 over 3 groups of 30 any day ..easier to spread them and hide them in cover as needed..Aegis is fine for a 1750+ Game lesser games not as needed..

Right, cheers for the advice guys.

Groups of 9 lootas makes a lot of sense, also managed to squeeze in some back-capping gretchin and even Zogwort for some madness in the larger games.

taking 2warpheads you are really gonna wanna abuse ur waagghs ur gonna get. you want to find a way to squeze in that 3ed dakkajet so you get 18shots on each everyturn and melt squads.
fighta ace and redpaint are not worth it on dakkajets and can save you pts.
also old zog is not hafe as good as a weirdboy cus he cant zaapp

Ok, you convinced me Orkimedezz. I've switched up the big list a bit more, just managed to squeeze the third jet in. Now I'll be packing obscene amounts of dakka on those extra Waaagh! turns.

If I got rid of fighta ace on the jets I'd have 30 more points, probably going into more boyz. Would I still have enough anti-air in the form of the lootas and lower BS jets?

My only other thought was perhaps switching out the 3 power claws for big choppas to get the points together for another squad of big gunz. My only worry is that caught in melee without pk nobs the shootas will just crumble. They could also be tied up indefinitely by dreds etc. AV 14 would also be completely unchallenged (save very lucky kannons...)

Any final ideas?

Ya at this point its all about the dakka so the boyz are more or less a meat wall/distraction i think ditching the pks for 75pts back and not putting bigchoppas will be a good idea. Just use the nob for a bp to stay grouped. And keep the aces normally i say no aces but this list is all dakkajets lol.
The 75pts going to 3 kannons more is probably a good idea.
Also you got zapp for ur anti tank ;D

I switched out the pks on the nobz to fit in the extra kannons. Then I had 15 points to play with so, I just gave them the big choppas. I figured 2 more boyz wasn't going to make much of a difference and nobz really like choppy things...

So much leaner and meaner than what I started with, now I understand why people post their lists
