After a lengthy hiatus, I am reconsidering 40k. The new rules seem interesting, and there's a lot of potential. So why not have some fun with it?
After looking over the rules, I've put together the following. Yes, it has glaring weaknesses against AV 14/14/14. But it looks like a lot of fun. And you guys are good at giving advice, so let me have it!
Oh, and while I THINK I did the math correctly, I put this list together while in a meeting, so if I screwed up, please let me know!
HQ
Wazdakka Gutsmek: 180 pts (would be the FW boss, but the local area kind of frowns upon FW for some reason)
Warboss: 140 pts (Warlord here)
-Power Klaw
-Warbike
-Bosspole
-Cybork Body
ELITES
8 Lootas: 120 pts
8 Lootas: 120 pts
TROOPS
6 Nobz: 370 pts
-Warbikes
-Cybork Bodies
-Painboy
-Waaagh! Banner
-Power Klaw
8 Warbikers: 240 pts
-Nob with Power Klaw and Bosspole
8 Warbikers: 240 pts
-Nob with Power Klaw and Bosspole
10 Gretchen: 40 pt
-Runtherd
10 Gretchen: 40 pt
-Runtherd
FAST ATTACK
Dakkajet: 130 pts
-Extra Soopa Shoota
-Flyin' Ace
Dakkajet: 130 pts
-Extra Soopa Shoota
-Flyin' Ace
FORTIFICATIONS
Aegis Defense Line: 100 pts
-Quad Gun
And that's basically it. Strategy should be relatively obvious--the Nobz and HQs get stuck in, everything else shoots like mad and the Warbikes pick off crippled units. Any suggestions?

Hmmmmm Great list, I dunno bout the Grethin though, i know they are there for camping the back objectives, and because you had some spare points you didnt know what to do with hmmmmmmmmmmmm.... haha, if your able to id take 20 shoota boys with big shootas and just camp an objective while everything flys up the board, i like ADL thatll come in handy. maaaybe make them 5 man loota sqauds and drop the gretchin and take shootas with nob big shootas boss pole and power klaw thats exactly 170 i believe or dont bother with the power klaw and and take another loota?
Other than that looks like alot of fun and could be pretty competeive

Actually, the Grots are in there for some very real reasons. Firstly, as mentioned, objective camping is always good and Grots do it much more cheaply than Shoota Boyz, who (on foot) would be left behind quickly by the rest of the army. I could theoretically take four squads of Grots for the same cost of those Shoota Boyz and only really lose out on a few Big Shootas a turn.
Secondly, let's not forget the BS 3 of Grots, making them perfect for manning the Quad Gun and (hopefully) taking out a flyer or two. Plus, their smaller size means they are far more easily concealed behind, say, an Aegis Defense Line, or some other barricades. Keep the Runtherd out of LoS and that objective is extremely secure.

I would dodge a squad of 10grots for 6cb on rhe nob bikers and 2 big choppas on them they are ur core in this list n they dont get there 4+ cover in close combat and also str8 weps ignore ur FNP so the 5+ inv is needed.
And you could ditch the fighta ace for more upgrades as ur gonna melt men not vehicles but sometimes its usefull but ur tl will get you plenty of pens on a DE or other skimmers.
Otherwise i like the list but never relly liked warbikers anyways gl and cheers!

this looks similar to several of my own speed lists..Thou I prefer Warbikers in groups of 5, 7 or 9 ...Nob Bikers in Groups of 5..lootas in groups of 5, 9 or 15 ..but it will work as is ..its just a matter of making it take a tad longer(or shorter) before I have to roll for Leadership ..

Groups of 9 can Go to Ground take 3 wounds to make them do leadership ..(as opposed to two with smaller groups) are big enough to be percieved as a threat .small enough they can hide in most terrain. (on average they trash a flyer/chimera/rhino/dread/etc each round)..and if my opponet wants to take one group off the board it takes a larger amount of fire to do it.. Which means something else in my army is not under fire that shooting phase.
Same thought applies to Warbikers ..Makes it easier to get them stuck in..

Sorry for the delay in response. However, I have to ask: did you read the list?
The Nobz already have Cybork Bodies. It's right there in the list, pretty hard to miss. Additionally, they are toughness 5, so it takes a Strength 10 hit to negate FNP. The only real upgrade I'd be likely to take instead of the Fightin' Aces is an Attack Squig on the Warboss, but I don't rate a single attack as worth 15 points.

I certainly agree (and I try to get 1 more than a multiple of 4 in most of my games), but this was just an issue of points being rather tight. Definitely something to strive for when building a list, but I wouldn't call it the most important thing for list building.
For the record, I expect a lot of problems with certain Guard/Marine lists, notably ones with lots of S10 template spamming and have some concerns with Tau, albeit less than most lists. Flyer spam doesn't worry me, nor does Eldar overmuch. I may be optimistic on that last one though.

The only thing i can think of is you need to put an attacksquig on that warboss
i'd also drop one of the gretchin squads for the upgrade + 2 more lootas (1 in each squad)
I am really loving the Big Gunz (kannonz) these days, and would love to see atleast one 3gunz squad squeezed into this list, but i dont think you have the points to do so
Also a great adition in an army like this would be a deffkopta or two with TL Rokkits to let help you fight armored targets, but you should do fine against everything except landraiders with the list as it is
it is a great list anyhow and should be alot of fun, just dont rush into CC with the warbikes against Spacemarines or other WS4 high armor save unit, try to soften them up alot before you go in

My prior comment on the lack of value on the Attack Squig aside, I would love to be able to magically turn 40 points into 45, but unfortunately I have neither the room not the mathematical ability to do so.

These were actually the first thing I had to remove to save points. Otherwise they would have definitely been in the list.

I like Koptas, really I do, but I don't see how 2 S8 shots is going to really help against AV14 these days. And yes, everything gets softened before assault. Hence all the gunz!

people think bring str8 guns are anti av14 cus thats the best orks got for it. i think going out of the way toget alot of antiav14 is not worth it in a ork army ur better off allieing ig or sm droppods they dothe job 100% better
just ignore landraiders and such as even pks dont solve the problem lol.
