Love the look of scouts so went heavy with them on it, devs are a suicide squad, DS the vets in and keep them cutting stuff up

Raven Guard give your stuff that doesn't have the scout rule scout, so scouts are in a way not making the most of your points. How are the Devastators in a Drop Pod doing anything before dying? that's over 100 points of wasted potential, IMO. I feel like you have very little firepower and few models with poor armor saves, that will just get Shredded. Sure you will have Stealth for a turn, but I'm not sure if you will survive a round of shooting. Ignores cover units are abound these days.

For super fluff go for Korvydae, he is master of recruits for the tenth company.

That LC squad is insanely expensive for a unit that will be mown down with any decent amount of shooting!

Fun and fluffy though, so go for it would like to see it on the table.

Korverydae makes all assault squads count as scoring troops.

I like the list for a fluff. I would make one squad of scouts CC weapons. Dont underestimate what CC scouts can do.

I would only give 4 veterans power weapons. That unit is way to exspensive. Dont go over 350 pts with the unit. You can take another whole assault squad instead of that many power weapons. Sternguard with combi meltas would do better in the drop pod than devs.

I love RG so keep it up.

Definitely. Multimeltas are a complete waste of points as a drop pod suicide unit, since they can only take snapshots in their first (and probably only) turn out of their pod. So either Sternguards with combi meltas or a command squad with meltas and/or combi meltas is the way to go.

I'm still unconvinced by Vanguard Veterans - they may pack a punch, but they are expensive and are still only 3+, single wound, non-scoring marines. In your list, they are the obvious fire magnet and will never get anywhere near CC in 99% of your games. There's just way too much AP3 weaponry out there nowadays, and they don't get to attack after deepstriking anymore, which means that they have to survive one enemy shooting phase. Which they won't.

For the cost, you'd be much better off with 2-3 full Assault Squads, all scoring thanks to Korvydae.
