I'm looking for confirmation that one unit would have to be deployed on the table at the start of turn one.

Is there anyway to 100% reserve with a list /like/ this?

No, you do not have to have anyone on the table with that list. Vulkan and the Libby would both have to be in a drop pod, but you can hold everything in reserve if they were embarked on Pod's

This. It has been confirmed in the FAQ. So long as everything is either a flyer, in a flyer, or in a drop pod you do not need to keep anything on the table.

If fact, due to the rounding rules of rounding up, you could even reserve a single unit, ie a predator or Hunter.

Auto Lose happens at the end of a Game turn, so as long as your arriving pods and contents are not destroyed you do no autolose.
