From the local press ganger who is setting it up: "Highlander is awesome. 25pts to spend on 1 caster, 1 jack/beast, 1 solo, 1 unit (with any number if attachments). Note: I do not allow overflow points to go to extra jacks/beasts in my Highlander events."

Points: 25/25
Forward Kommander Sorscha (*6pts)
* Conquest (19pts)
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
* Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard (2pts)
* 2 Winter Guard Infantry Rocketeers (2pts)
Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich (2pts)

Compiled using Forward Kommander

Imo this is the best list Khador can offer under your limitations.

Sweet thanks, glad to see that I am sort of getting a hang of the Khador list building style.

Yep that's about as good as it's gonna get, and it should do really well. Just make sure to get the WG where you want them before IF so you don't box in Conquest or Scorsha.

Also remember that you can and should use the Khador arc node (you can have the officer 8" behind the last man in the unit with the banner another 8" behind her, with joe 8" behind him) and still get you buffs on them....

Can you create a small drawing of this for me darefsky? I know I need to work on my lanes and stuff. And also keeping my caster alive as I know that will be my opponents priority.

Basically in this style of the play rather than the other variants Khador and Cygnar are almost force to use their colossals. But I think all of us have one except for our cryx player.

Something like this (depends on terrain objectives etc....) The whole idea is to minimize exposure to your caster, while still being able to buff your infantry you can stagger the line to block LOS and still have access to CRA. This also keeps the Officer and Joe alive a lot longer...

O O O O O
...O..O..O

........O (Officer)

........O (Standard Bearer)

........O (Crazy Uncle Joe)

Ok it dosnt look right from when I type it in the box to when I hit send....... Its loosing the almost pyramid I am trying to achieve with the models. Yay, periods here to save the day....

Sweet good job, that makes a lot of sense to me. I really need someone to explain to me how to deploy properly.

Here is a great video about deployment and some thoughts on it.

Guess just because I can run a list doesn't mean I can know how to play it. I actually built this without any input from the forums. And I guess this is Khadors best possible list as the other Khador player was running the exact same one. And boy did he know how to run it better than I.

It's like any other list man, you have to practice with it a lot, you need to get comfortable with it so that how you move it and what you do with the units become muscle memory.

Give it like 30+ games and you will rock with it too.

I have my friendly local cryx player (he is actually really good) showing me how to play better this weekend. Whenever I feel down about it I just think about what Jake says from adventure time.

"Dude, suckin' at something is the first step to being sorta good at something."

Also I played against like the best Khador player in Texas :l and one of the best cryx players.

I heard that your also friends with one of the best Cygnar players around too. You should practice with him to perfect your list

Too bad he is a scrub, and doesn't really help much.
