So I moved down to Columbus GA (FT Benning) recently, and the 40k scene looks pretty bleak. I've managed a couple games at Moxie, but the scene there is practically nonexistant.
I don't want to have to start driving up to Atlanta every week, haha....so, anyone on Dakka in the area with any tips?

There was someone on this forum looking for other gamers in the Columbus, GA area about 3 months ago.
He goes by the name BikeMenace.
Perhaps you could PM him and find out what is going on in the area.

There is a group in Auburn that is starting to drive over to moxies. They are heading over this friday (17th), and I might be joining them.

I've been on internet blackout for a while, missed this thread. Sorry I missed your journey to Moxy. Community here is picking up a bit, thankfully.
rdemings: What's the store in Albany? That's close enough to check out.
Valdosta unfortunately is too far, may as well just go up to Atlanta.

Feel free to come visit us up in Atlanta if you're ever free a the weekend, we are open until 1am Friday and Saturday and 8pm Sundays, so plenty of time to get games to make it worth the drive

I'm in Montgomery for 6 weeks and can't find a warmahordes game either...I would've brought warhammer had I known that was all they played.
They have a store, but it's magic and a little bit of fantasy, not much 40k.

I met you 3 wks ago, I was in north Georgia for xmas, and you guys were playing the monster attack board game.
I brought up Wexford ale.
You guys have a cool store, an actual grill in a game store...and a huge infinity selection, plenty of warmahordes, and of course all the mainstays.

I know Gigabytes, great shop. Just a little far for an average weekend (4 hr round trip).
My ATC teammate plays there all the time. He's a freakishly tall guy who not only works Mephiston into way too many lists, he generally makes it work.
