Spirit mar is in codex: eldar and says that all wraith guard, wraith blades, wraith lords, wraith knights and hemlock wraith fighters can re roll to hit rolls of a 1 (Basically anything with wraith in the title!)

I'm planning on running a wraith seer from imperial armour: apocolyspse, I was wondering if he would also benefit from spirit mark? He is a wraith after all! Obviously the codex makes no reference as he doesn't exist in the book, but to me it would make sense to include him.

Thoughts?

RAW No ... it is not one of the models listed. Now if you want to talk to your opponent before the game feel free ... he might agree to let you.

Technically no, but I personally would absolutely allow it.

I know technically it's a no. As per nothing but what's written it's definitely a no! BUT, I'm looking for a consensus of opinion!

So this is a HYWPI poll? If so, you might want to specify, as people generally vote RAW, which is a no.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Then yes. (I didn't vote at all before you clarified.)

No.
RAW, as established in prior posts, is clear.
RAI, For 70 points, Wraithseer offers a lot without getting a self serving re-roll rule. He doesn't need it.
Fluff (my preferred way of ruling anything), he is using his mortal senses and psychic powers to provide clarity for Wraith Units who are in need of guidance. He is helping the dead 'see' and thus doesn't benefit since he isn't dead.

70 points is a spirit seer..... A wraith seer is 185 point imperial armour model, and is most definitely is dead...

My apologies. I misunderstood. Ignore my previous post.

I'd say yes.
Edit:thinking about it, so does the spiritseer and he can't...so maybe not.

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

Guardian jet bikes have Battlefocus listed in their rules; does this mean they can Run?

Note: I play it is allowed to use it, as frankly any opponent bringing such a pretty model should be encouraged to keep bringing it.

I voted no per rules as written, but I would allow it if my opponent asked.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

No. The rules are perfectly clear. IA:Apocalypse was published after the current Eldar codex, and the Eldar units in it have updated rules (for example, new distort and scatter laser rules). If FW wanted to have the spirit mark benefit a wraithseer they could have added a note in its rules that it is added to the list of units that can use it. The fact that they chose not to do so means that the wraithseer is not intended to have that rule.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Exactly as Peregrine said, the units affected are clearly listed, and I don't see why you'd be forced to feel otherwise if your opponent claimed it was.
