This has all the ingredients for a classic film: dodgy Australian accent, dodgy Australian mullet! the great Satan and its Zionist lackey humiliated , and Dr Bashir's in it. What's not to like? BBC news are reporting that Assange will be boycotting the premiere!

Thoughts. Opinions.

Someone needs to hack the movie's website, just because...

The trailer makes it look as though "Collateral Murder" is taken seriously, so I'll probably skip it.

Sounds like a yes to me!

Dr Bashir's in it. What not to like?

It was a joke from the Daily Mash (a satirical UK newspaper)

It does look all sorts of terrible, possibly in a good way, like a Lifetime made for TV movie that somehow got taken seriously. Cumberbatch in that wig is magnificent.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

So Assange will be boycotting it, eh?

Sounds like it might get a little tooo uncomfortably close to the truth for that self-entitled donkey-cave, then.

What is the tone of this movie? Are they trying to portray Assange as a hero, as a self-deluded lunatic, or are they going some other route?

Probably the nicely edited version too that omits the weapons and a whole lot of context too

Those first two are kind of mutually exclusive. Seriously...I can't tell from the trailers or from anything I'm seeing online.

I can’t gather from the trailers what the tone of the film will be. I’m hoping for quite an even handed analysis that invites the viewer to come to their own conclusion. I don’t want the film to bash more over the head with either a pro or anti Assange viewpoint.

I don’t think other half will go with me though. She works for GCHQ and her view of Assange is he is somewhere between a cockroach and that white stuff that accumulates at the corner of your mouth when you're really thirsty. She actually gets angry when she sees the advert for the film on TV.

So there's at least one woman in Britain with a good head on her shoulders.

Agreed. That is one fine mullet, that makes me (with my thinning hair) jealous!

Even if Assange could go, he can't for obvious reason. But he's not happy with the film.

As an aside, are you not worried about dodgy Australian mullets appearing on screen?

Don't worry about the UK. To paraphrase Apollo Cree, we've fought the best, we've beaten the best, we've been the best! Those colonies will come crawling back one day - we're playing the long game

You have to go. Don't fall into the woman trap. She'll hate you if you go, but hate you even more if you don't for not being a strong, confident, modern man!

Getting the impression you're advance booking your tickets as I type this.

Aren't you the least bit curious of seeing what happens to your taxes, or seeing what happens in the corridors of power of your government?

From what I've seen of the trailer, and read in the papers, it's going to be one man against the evil empire kinda story, with the spy agencies having a change of heart at the end about spying.

It's the sort of role a young Tom Cruise would have played!

I'll be honest, I can't stand the person and can't stand the actor playing him.

I'd rather go back to the dentist then see this...work.

Frazz, I've got just the film for you - Marathon Man. It's a spy film with dentists in it. Two birds with one stone

Aren't you the least bit curious about how your hard earned tax dollars are spent? 5th estate may shine a light on this for you
