Wow... I can't even fathom how they even thought this would be acceptable to send out.

If you wanted to sculpt them yourself, you would have been better off.

I started thinking that it may be possible that my order received special attention. They know who I am and know that I put up video reviews of every order I get from them. It It's possible they made sure I got their best effort.

Like I said in my video, PW is a company I hate to love. I truly love a lot of their designs. But it is clear they cannot execute those designs with any consistent quality.

Thats what I don't understand they can produce a quality model only to let it down by producing substandard copies, instead of replacing orders invest some money in a better casting set up with quality control.

Hopefully the quality of the replacements will be better. I had almost exactly the same experience (Same day reply, people on holiday), and when I got the replacement it was not much of an improvement.

At least they've got that part up to speed. Stopped ordering from them when it was a months+ long process to get a reply, let alone a replacement, for bad pieces. But such great sculpts!

Bummer about that casting quality shown last page... looks like they haven't improved and thus still are going to be a company I wait to order from until they get their casting sorted.

Same gak they they pulled when I ordered from them. A shame since they have some great designs, but they clearly don't give a feth unless they get pulled up on it. Looks like your order all came from the miscast bin, like mine seems to have had (and the guy before me, in their old thread, as well!)

I guess with the few defects I had in my "bricks" mostly where they are hard to see, I was very, very lucky!

Those new mechs look nice, but after reading all your horror stories I doubt I'd want to put the money down for one of these unless I get to see the parts prior to purchase.

There FB page has all sorts of interesting new designs too.

A shame.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

That walker has some great design features to it. Nice to see a use for the arms at last.

The transport isn't bad, though I think I preferred the previous design more. That dreadnought is neat. Kind of reminds me of Robocop 2.

The walker is certainly an interesting design. Curious to see pricing on it.

Not feeling much 'ork' about the 'ork flyer'...

Like the dreadnought design, those hover flyers are also nice.
@insaniak, i agree it is the wings IMO they look too well designed for orks.

The Dread could be an interesting Ad Mech proxy, but I'm not feeling the design, as far as SM go.

When I first saw it I thought with a little work it could stand in for the rogue trader era Colossus robot. The only question for me is where can I find a nice big dreadnought sized hammer?

I bet that Dread would look nice with some loader arms and a nice dirty, rusty yellow paintscheme with hazard chevrons.

So Puppets War uses crap resin? I've always considered ordering stuff from them, like their bikes. They look great!

My bike turned out alright. It isn't that their resin is crap, it's their quality control that's crap. I think it's basically a crap shoot if your stuff will turn out decent or not. All of mine did.

The resin itself is fine. Their casting is a little hit and miss.

Everything I've bought from them has been fine so far, though.

The actual resin they use is good,

It's the casting that seems to be the problem with some people getting stuff that really should have been thrown out (miss cast/major mould slip/lots of bubbles etc),

It's really annoying as they can make great casts (I've had some of them myself) and the sculpting is really good too, it's just quality control that lets them down

I know, my bricks were decent mold work, the turrets had slight bubble issues. Solid and good resin when set right, I could clobber a person with the Bricks APC as a emergency defense weapon, but it would wreck the paint job!

To be honest most of the stuff I had previously has been good or at least ok but a few minor issues, but my last order was really bad I don't know what was going on when they packed it.

Mind you still no sign of my replacement order ?

I wish I was surprised. Puppetswar should really contract every part of their business aside from design out to others like Maxmini or Kromlech...

Yup. Imagine how pleased everyone would be if you could get these amazing designs cast by Maxmini? I think they should consider it.

I've purchased from puppets war on several occasions and I didn't think there was anything wrong with the castings. Were there air bubbles?-Yes, but its always been relatively minimal. On average my experience has been on par with FW.

Maxmini I ordered a number of legs and out of the lot 2 legs had air bubbles that irreparably ruined significant detail.

Resin is a finicky material and no company will ever be completely free of its short comings.

Well I can honestly say that every Maxmini order I have received have been free from casting issues, however yes a few air bubbles would be fine from Puppetswar but my last order was riddled with miscasts, air bubbles, loss of detail and warped casts.

Now honestly do you think that is acceptable not one out of several items I ordered was free from any of these issues.

Now I have defended Puppetswar in the past as most of my earlier orders were pretty good (for a small company) however after reading several bad reports it did start to concern me but I went ahead with my order with optimism.

Once my order turned up I realized how justified these complaints were, I don't think people are complaining for the sake of complaining but rather asking them to raise their casting operation to reflect the quality of their designs.
