Land Raider Pilot on Cruise Control

Englandia

Page 109, under "Dedicated Transports" states that they count as being from the same FOC category as the unit they were bought for.
Does this make (for example)
1. Land Raider variants Heavy Supports AND Elites for the sake of Big Guns? (If taken as dedicated, of course)
2. Rhinos can score in standard missions with objectives.
If I've missed something, could you please point me that way?
Thanks.

If I sound like I'm being a condescending butthole, I'm not. Read my reply as neutrally as possible, please and thank you.

There is something in the BRB that vehicles cannot score.

Vehicles are non-scoring, non-denial units unless otherwise noted.

BGNT and the Scouring allow HS and FA vehicles to score.

As above but additionally a DT is not a part of the FoC so they are never scoring in the Scouring ir Big Guns Never Tire.

Not true. A DT is considered to be the same slot type as their parent unit, so A Rhino taken by a Devastator squad is a HS unit and can score in BGNT.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

A unit can (and indeed, must) be part of the FOC, even if it's not actually taking up a slot.
The BRB tells us that a DT counts as the same slot as the unit it's chosen for (BRB page 109 - Dedicated Transports).
