So far I am left with 285pts and no HQ. I'm not sure where to go with the HQ;
Cheap libby/captain with a command squad maybe?
Cheap HQ and fit in some las-cannon devastators?
Bike captain and a cheeky bike squad in troops?
Or perhaps a more heavily decked-out character?
Not keen on using a SC and I don't have access to thunder cannons.

Not picked tactics for the force, maybe IH for the vehicles or IF if I take devs.

I would definitely take Tigurius instead of the comms relay. He's super good and tweaks your reserve rolls which will help for your legion squads. Then bulk up on more troops/make your bikes troops with a tooled out chapter master on bike.

agree with this, love LotD need to see more of there heroism on the table

Have you thought about doing the Vulkan Salamanders list and change all the LoTD to Melta Multimelta CombiMelta?

I did originally conceive this with Tiggy, so yes that's definitely an option. Using Vulkan, meh; Lotd with plasma ignoring cover looks so more tempting.
So working on the assumption of Tiggy, that's 125 spare.
Otherwise, maybe the captain on bike with bike squad as troops?
