Ok Dakkanaughts, I'd like to suggest a semi-competitive list which is very different to the sort of army lists I normally like, I want to know what all of think of it! I think I'll be weak against flyers....but perhaps not as bad as I think....

Here goes:

5 x Purifiers
2 x incinerators, 2 x halberds

TROOPS

2 x Daemon hammers, psycannon, psybolt ammo

5 x Grey Knights

Daemon Hammer, psycannon

The Idea is to use the grand master to try and make both interceptor squads, and the purifiers objective holders. The purifiers will sit on my objective, mean while the intrceptors have the 30" shunt to claim or contest any objectives towards the end of the game. The Dreads can also jump and contest at the end, plus being able to clear any objectives during the game.

Any thoughts?

What is your reason for Coteaz in the list when you aren't taking any henchmen?

Coteaz is awesome at all times, even without henchmen. He's that good. It's not like running Crowe without purifiers.

HOWEVER, where you plan to run Coteaz and the GM once the game starts is a piece of the puzzle that you left out.

The question that I have is why psilencers? They're not as good as psycannons.

My guess is GM with termies and coteaz with purifier or vice versa. Maybe combine some of the ss or interceptors for 10 man crews, the 3+ is nice but so many 5 man squads seem like they could be picked off squad by squad.

personally i find small squads a waste one round of lucky shooting with bad saves and they're done, too easy to pick of I've done it against many a foolish player in the past, the more men in a squad the longer it takes to kill them and the more damage they will do. As for your NDK get rid of the great sword it is alot of points to spend for re-rolls to hit and wound 2 doomfists are my fav +1A and you're hitting at S10 AP2 and as a bonus you save pts that can be better used else where.

I love using halberds mainly because I'm always fighting BA and other such so i want to get my attacks in first, this comes down to your local meta and what you fight.

Get some of the beloved pyscannons man, they are one of the best weapons GK's have it is worth the points, I'm not sure what your plan is for coteaz though.

On a last note i would get some transports in there Rhinos do a make a hell of a difference in getting you into the fight, Footsloggin GK's just don't cut it sorry to so.

Don't forget about the FAQ for the greatsword! It really makes it awesome. You keep the +1A and still hit at S10 AP2 with the greatsword! So, for 25 pts you miss less and have a bigger impact due to re-rolls to hit and wound.

If you have the points to spend go for i try to keep them down just alittle XD you hit enough with doomfists.
