Hi Guys!
I'm just getting back into Warhammer
40k since 3rd-4th edition and I'm surprised there are still no female farseers. So I thought I'd convert one! It's still a work in progress and I'm not that great of a converter, but I think it's going well!
Feel free to comment!
I used the newer Alarielle Everqueen model as a base and added on farseer features from current farseer finecast models. Since regular farseers can't equip witch staffs, as of the 6th edition, I changed the wargear to a converted singing spear. I liked the staff from Alarielle so much that I couldn't part with it completely, and since I'm fielding a Biel-Tan army, the heart shapes were a definite keeper.
I removed the base since it was a little too elaborate for a
40k piece: I also filed down the toes so they look more like shoes since I don't see farseers walking barefoot in battle.
You also can't see it from this angle, but I added a wraithguard's rear piece to the back of Alarielle's collar to further give it that farseer/
40k look.
Since most farseers are required to have ghosthelms, I shaved off the rear part of the farseer head and added it on. The Alarielle's model made it real easy since the head-piece is separate from the model.
I'm not that great with
GS, so I transplanted the wraithbone, but I'll still have to use some
GS to make up the deficit below the belt.
Once the glue dries, I'll prime the model and paint.
