So since 6th edition has come out, I've found that furious charge isn't that much of a game breaker, sure +1 str is nice but.....I dunno I find it a bit lacking, so what I'm suggesting, and bear with me here as it could get a bit complicated, is +1 initiative as well as the +1str.
Just take a moment to let that sink in.
I know crazy right, I probably shouldn't have suggested it and return to my lurking on the forum.

I agree. Orks are already OP and giving them +1 Init on the charge....they'd be unstoppable.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Yeah I probably shouldn't have come up with this. I can see a lot of players quaking in their boots about being charged and all.
My bad dakka.
But on a serious note, why did this change happen at all? I seriously don't understand, I mean was it so hard for people to shoot/avoid/charge first units with FC?

Apparently being angry means you only hit harder, not faster.

I always thought it was the defenders reaction to the force of the charge, that caused them to be forfeit the initiative of the opening round of combat.

Me personally, i would just change furious charge to re-rolls to wound in the first round of combat.

B-but if my choppa boyz don't have to eat 2-3 turns of shooting, overwatch, *and* first strike from enemy units they might actually be good. And we can't have that now.

Well, as long as we are breaking the game, how about we go back to Synapse providing EW. Suddenly there is a reason to keep Feeders in Synapse. And it makes Synapse Creatures that much more useful.

My Blood Angels would love this. Even though it won't help our codex one bit.

It is the single biggest thing that hurt is in the change from 5th to 6th, even before our codex found itself over costed as the newer codexes came out.
