Converting models has always been my favorite part of the hobby, and this is one of my earliest attempts, hearkening back to ye olde days of setting GI Joes on fire...Thousand Sons with Real Battle Damage.
6-man squad along with a sorcerer I finished later on. Scrounged together from various bits and pieces of other kits. Being as Thousand Sons are essentially magical suits of animated armor, having huge holes blown in them doesn't do all that much. (And sadly isn't reflected in the rules anymore. Farewell, 2-wound 1k Sons)
Battle damage from left to right: 1) Point blank Demolisher cannon while attempting to assault from the front. 2) Charged by SM assault squad resulting in six bolt pistol shots to the body, a well-aimed plasma pistol to the head, and an arm lopped off by a power sword. 3) Marched into an IG heavy bolter position.
1) Speared in the head and shoulders by a trio of rough rider explosive lances, carried forward fifty yards, then dumped in a river. 2) Sniped in the head by a Vindicare Assassin. Then sniped in the knees. Sniped in several more locations afterwards. 3) Head lopped off by a Death Company sergeant. Shot point blank with bolt pistols. Tip of foot lopped off by enraged Sergeant.
1) Hid behind the others, not a scratch.

Great job. I thought this was going to be lame, until I saw your work and realized how far you could take the 'battle damage' concept with Rubric Marines. When I do Thousand Sons, I may have to add this to my queue and steal it.

Where's the 1000 Sons? I just see some blue CSMs with Interceptor Packs. Do they have a teleport homer?

^he said he made them from various bits he had lying around..
With that said, loving the battle damage. You've def given the feel of how thousands sons are meant to be when they are fighting. Very nice

Very nice, good work there. Though to complete the effect personally I would do an eerie green glow from inside the armour, like this artwork below:

Thanks for the comments. As far as being imposter Sons, I made them back when the real models were still in metal, and well, eff trying to convert those things. Not that I'd want to carve up the finecast versions either.
The strike backpacks were to give them sort of a clockwork robot feel with big radio operated antennae sticking out like rabbit ears.
If I ever go back and revisit the concept, I'd definitely try adding a glow to the wounds, using LEDs.

I like them all i think maybe a ghostly arm coming from the one who got his arm shot off would be EPIC.

I likie those alot! It really drives home the point that they're really just empty souls encased in armor.

I like the guy missing the head and half the torso. Something huge hit this guy, and he doesn't seem to miss much. I like that you take the concept above and beyond on that one. It's easy to chicken out on "doing too much"

Instead of a ghostly arm you could have ash or sand spilling out of him. After all, I thought their souls were encased in the armor forever but their bodies destroyed. The armor would be full of something... akthough I guess it'd all settle in the boots haha. Maybe that's why they were always so slow?
Regardless, cool idea, and glad that you took the risk to try something cool even if you do go a little overboard for my personal taste.

Thanks for not making it bloody, I think you did a good job but the sand pouring out would be an awesome touch.
