Hello Dakka. ^.^

My CSM army is growing, and I figured I need myself some nice anti-air weaponry. I poked around and found the sexy Contemptor Mortis, which would not only deal with enemy aircraft but also fill the dreadnought-sized hole in my heart. But a nagging doubt manifested itself... I am fairly certain CSM can access Contemptors, but can they use Contemptor Mortis? It would make me very sad if they can't. :< If they can, which Forge World book can I find them in?

Furthermore, which loadout do you suggest for a pure AA Contemptor Mortis? I have gleaned enough Contemptor knowledge to know of the Kheres Assault Cannon and the other weapons that our big friend has access to. Which weapon is best bang for the buck, in your opinion?

I sure hope I posted this in the right forum!

Sadly, CSM can't take the Mortis variant, and rules for it are in IA: Aeronautica. To be honest, the best loadout would probably be twin TL Autocannons. The Kheres are good, but their short range lets them down a bit. If you have spare points you might want to try twin TL Lascannons and a CML, but that gets expensive pretty quickly.
