Well, here is the full list of November releases, and I don't see any Tempestus Firebases on it. Perhaps it is going to be a December bundle deal, or the rumor is bust. Hard to say at the moment.

In the meantime, you can see the pricing for your 2nd wave of Dark Elves, Triumph and Treachery, and more. Of course the biggest bit for me is that the Black Legion will get its hardcover version towards the later end of the month. Exciting!!!!!

Armies of Renown. This is just a coffee table / art book of all the past year's armies out of the White Dwarf, without any real new material, but it's nicely done. Its very much a vanity piece, and not something you need, but the quality was good. Lots of eye candy that might be interesting to someone who doesn't have a subscription.

Well I was pretty close on the prices. Underestimated the price on the Chariot and Warlocks/Dark Riders, overestimated the "Host of Naggaroth" price.

A little bit of me died reading armies of renown, thinking it was a dogs of war expansion and then finding out it was nothing more than whit dwarf pictures.

Sad times.

Why would it be a "Dogs of War expansion"?

They 'dogs of war' mercenary units used to be known as the 'regiments of reknown' or somesuch, I think, many moons ago. When I was very new to the hobby as an 11 year old, apologies if I've not quite remembered that one correctly!

Yeah, but the Dogs of War have effectively been "gone" for quite some time. You have a few examples like Long Drong's Slayer Pirates or the Goblin Hewer but very little beyond that.

"Regiments of Renown" is now a rule set that GW themselves have for smaller games, where you select models from unit choices and each one is effectively its own "unit". It's used to lead in for larger games, allowing for your general to then become a pseudo-special character with the "Dog of War" rule allowing you to ally in a single unit from another army.

I have to wonder what is in the triumph and treachery book that justifies that high price

The $50 US for the Black Guard/Executioners makes me wonder what they were thinking for the Witch Elves. All I can think is that it was a $10 boobie tax.

Triumph and Treachery is suppose to come with some cards and coins according to Matt.Kingsley

Seriously. Sisters of Slaughter are Rare units, while Black Guard/Executioners are both special.
The price bands on the next wave of Dark Elf stuff is full of such things. The Doomfire Warlocks being a Rare unit have bumped the price of the Dark Riders to $35.
The Scourgerunner Chariot being a mount for a Lord choice bumped it from $35 to $40.
I posted this in the Dark Elf rumor thread after Matt Kingsley posted the prices:

The Fleetmaster looks to be $20 USD(price band on the plastic single piece characters--oddly enough it's not a huge price difference between regions)
Har Ganeth Executioners/Black Guard dual kit looks to be $50 USD(the Shadow Warrior/Sisters of Avelorn price band--blah)
Scourgerunner Chariot/Cold One Chariot looks to be $35 USD(price band of cavalry boxes like the Silver Helms)
I couldn't find something directly $45 AUD and the closest for the Doomfire Warlocks/Dark Riders is the Corpse Cart which rings in at $29.75--which if true makes Warlocks and Dark Riders a pretty good buy.

The Fleetmaster and Executioner/Black Guard ones are the only things which matched perfect.

No new tech paints? Or would they be listed elsewhere?

The last infantry box to be release in rare slot was the Shadow Warriors/Sisters of Avalon and it was $50, so saying rare units are more than special doesn't hold water. Sisters are rare, not special.
The Chaos Warrior chariot was released at $40, so that price was already expected. Having a lord choice doesn't factor in.
The Black Knights/Hexwraiths and Hellsteeds were the last two cavalry kits released at $33. GW likely applied a $2 price hike to the kit, not because it contained a rare unit.

Those prices are stupid expensive imo.

This is not the complete list by far.
Add to that all the special colours, the Tempestus Firebase, a Munitorum Battlepack (bag), the Chaos dice and all the glorious one-click-bundles for Tau/Eldar etc, all released 16th November. I can't confirm anything called "Armies of Renown".

And just for the record, there is indeed a limited White Dwarf finecast miniature released next week.

The 2014 White Dwarf miniature is a Vampire hunter dealing with a Goblin vampire.

The "Munitorum Battlepack" is a backpack big enough to carry "an army case plus gaming supplies" and includes a Tanith and a Chaos batch.

The treachery box includes rules and stats for Dogs of War, 6 new scenarios and multiplayer rules. It is a 98-pages book in slipcase plus a "velour" bag for the cards and coins.
