Basic premise is for dominions scout first turn and pop expensive transport or 2+ saves hiding in cover.
All sisters and Celestine zoom up the table.
Retributors use rend twice on aircraft with quad gun and excorcists get 4+ cover from adl.

Why Celestine? She is flying by her self? Seems like Uriah would be a better choice for the Fearless bubble.
Why Flamer Immolators? TL-MM are the same price and better, especially if the squad inside already has dual-flamer. Seems like having all your BSS be flamer with Immos having MM would be better off.
Why Storm Bolters on the Exorcists? Weapon Destroyed? Most of the time, for me, you're already dead if you got weapon destroyed nowadays. Not a great use of points.
Rets need an extra girl to take the simulacrum.

You will find it really hard to get a 4+ on the ADL from a lot of targets with the Exorcists. They are just too damn big, even if you don't could the organ pipes. If you're trying for cover shenanigans, I would go with a Bastion and then you can hide two behind it with about 50% coverage and that gives you a 3+ save. Also, helps out your rets by giving them two extra heavy bolters. You can throw a BSS squad on the roof for the quad.

You can then put Uriah in with the Rets so they get a third AOF, someone to throw wounds off on and a HUGE Fearless bubble since it goes off the bastion.

Something to think about.

Ha I like your edit, it's true the list you posted does have a lot of merits and seems solid. Means buying a bastion though lol, my idea with Celestine was the harass backfield units and have a hard warlord to kill. But maybe your right with jacobus, and damn forgot about the extra rest for the sim. Good spot! The idea of the rets on the quad was to rend flyers to death as a quad on its own isn't good enough to take them down reliably.

Also just read your 1850 list and the Icarus is never worth taking as a bs3 grot on a quad is more likely to glance/kill a flyer than a bs5 model with tank hunter, just for your info.

Celestine is good, but she's better with a unit to hide in for a while. Then she can pop out later game and not get gunned down like a punk in the first turn.

Tbh she can get gunned down as 85% chance or more she's coming back on full wounds next turn and doesn't give first blood if she does so wastes their firepower so I'm more likely to get it.

That's the old codex talking. Remember, you get to do that once.

I know it's only once but a ld test on ld 10 and full wounds is not be sniffed at especially with 2+ save and 4+ inv, and she will also be hiding behind immo spam so hopefully be safe, I am contemplating your list though.....

Don't post the points costs for specific unit upgrades. GW doesn't like that.

I like the list, but as mentioned above I am not a fan of Celestine. Uriah does more for you, imo.

Straight swap him for Celestine and use the extra points to get more retributors on the Quad Gun.

Up until this latest 'dex, i was a huge fan of rets w/ heavy bolters, but between the limited acts and the less expensive exorcists I don't know if I can justify giving that slot to the rets. The heavy bolters are pretty lame without rending, and they only get rending a limited amount of the time, while competing with a great tank that just got a points cost.

I could see an AA argument for the rets, but if you already have an ADL it just seems kinda superfluous.

Well if I swap Celestine for jacobus then he can sit with rets and I get 3 acts of faith, half a games worth must be enough to secure their worthiness surely?

I think that's a good swap, although you are going to want more bodies for the Rets since they need to be able to survive casualties.

Is it worth changing the dominions immo to a rhino then so I can have a 9 man ret squad? Seen as dominions are almost always a first turn suicide squad anyway.

I am going to start trying this. (Doms in rhino with simulacrum so that I have the choice of suiciding or not).

It is certainly worth a go.
