I came up with this yesterday. It's pretty simple, but it gets the job done!

You need:

1) 1 IG Mortar Tube
2) 1 IG Mortar Stand
3) 2 Wheels (I used Lego, but Matchbox/Hot Wheels would also be a good source)

Step 1: Assemble the mortar tube and cut off the bottom. Depending on how close you trim, you may need to hollow the end out a little.

Step 2: Glue the end of the stand to the mortar tube. The winged skull should face out.

Step 3: Add wheels to either side of the mortar tube. If you want to get really fancy, you can use a piece of plastic tube for an axle that passes through the tube.

And there you have it! Attach the heavy weapon of your choice, and get to painting!

Now that's just brilliant.

Good god. It is simple and brilliant. I will now be needing to do this for my guard for all my auto cannons. Also it is now going to take me forever to go through all my legos to try and find as many set of small tires to do this.

You don't even have to mutilate your legos:

Of course you can. I already have. Just go through your lego box and start finding sets of tires. Also the slightly larget size of lego wheels work fine and give it an all terrain look.

You could also use some spare clothing buttons for the wheels if you don't happen to have some Lego wheels handy.
