Also the Korean war is going to be out.So that will make alot of people happy.
Plastic MAus is also on the way,Plastic Pershing,
Desperate Measures will mostly have the plastics for new releases, but it will also see the debut of the IS2 Obr44 with improved front armour and bedspring armour for T34s. Soviet players will be 'very pleased' with it.
Operation BArbassosa next year,Of course the Italy HArdbacks,Road to Rome and Fortess Italy.

Plastic SUs! That's a lot of plastic releases for the coming year. Next year could be a very interesting one for Flames of War. A shame there's no picture of the T-34 schematic, I'm interested to see if it makes T-34/85Ms, early T-34/76s and T-34/57s. It will be quite a useful kit if it does.

If they're priced like the M113s they'll be £19 for a box of four. So somewhere in between their current range and PSC/Zvesda.

Nice find there col. k

Here is some piks. i think BF said they were going to be around 2/3 of the cost of the MEtal resin. They also apolgied for them taking so long.but they wanted them to be high quality models. That they were not worried about PSC and they are made in the U.K also! I just can not wait forth New armored rifles and the TDs sets to come out.Makes me want to starting selling off some of Resin models while i can get a good price.that i will replace with some of these plastics.but i will still buy my some of my Tanks from PSc.Will needs to get the ball rolling on the PSC arty models.

You sure about the plastic Maus? Why on earth would they make that in plastic? It would be an incredibly specialized model that wouldn't sell a lot of. It would be like making plastic Jagdtigers. Why wouldn't they make a kit likely to sell a ton of models instead, such as perhaps another tank kit or even British infantry?

I'm sure....

The Maus would be strange, a far better option would be artillery given that this is the one area where they would have no (plastic) competition. BF does love selling extremely expensive artillery though.

How are the BF plastic infantry? I have heard that the PSC infantry are extremely fragile, are the BF ones any better? I have been meaning to make a Gernadier Kompanie for literally years so the Grenadier plastic box would be a good place to start, if its any good.

As for the MAus,They are releasing LW Levithans.Just think of it being MID war Monsters. Also commented on how the other companies did not get theirs rite,.Something about a Tank, Heavy Assault, Tortoise (A39). I got most of this from a Q and A. that has been posted on a few other sites.

I don't doubt they'll make a resin and metal model, just stating that a plastic one would be extremely unlikely.

And BF's Open Fire plastic Germans are pretty good. Good detail and solid, just be careful with the gun barrels. You can get them in the Open Fire box right now, and they'll be the same ones being released for the upcoming plastic grenadier box. They're the same sculpts just repackaged.

PSC Infantry is a little on the fragile side (though I wouldn't say Extreme in any way) it's more a function of their scale and size.

Using the BF stuff from OPEN FIRE set as a guide, then the BF Stuff is a bit more Sturdy because it is more 15mm Heroic e.g the Arms are wider, heads are slightly larger.

Comparing like with like, I prefer the BF Stuff but it's really limited in availability right now. I would definitely buy more if it was available...See what I mean below.

PLASTIC SOLDIER COMPANY

Just to be clear - PLASTIC SOLDIER COMPANY - GERMAN HEAVY WEAPONS are a great buy, you can make like 3 Support Platoons and you get AT Options for your models!

So for £32 you can build An entire German Infantry Company (HQ + 3 Full Platoons + An MG42 Platoon + An 8cm Mortar Platoon + An 120cm Mortar Platoon) this is ridiculous value for the budget Gamer! For a further £19 You can buy 5 STuGS!.

PSC is ridiculously good value for vehicles - £38 for 10 STuG's or 10 Panzer IV or 8 Tigers or 10 PANTHERS!!!!!! (You will never be able to field 10 Panthers for under 2000pts!)

I have a Armoured squadron made out of PSC Shermans but my son got at them and now they are exhibiting some quite severe battle damage. At least if they were metals I could just bend all the barrels back into shape...

I require models that are sufficiently sturdy to survive trips in figure cases with foam trays and general tabletop wear and tear, The PSC infantry look a little delicate to me which is why I stayed away from them. The BF ones look quite a lot sturdier though.

I think what would be cool is that they made kits Hybrid Plastic, metal.Shall i say this the old Gw kits, like the Russ tanks.I have alot of problems with plastic broken barrel syndrome.Yes, i do own cases but every now and then stuff happens. That is why i am starting to look at Combat Wombats 15mm models.they sell a nice machined metal barrel for their Sci fi tanks that are sold seperate.I think mwnciboo has a review and a link on his Blog abo them.i think for me the worst is the 2 piece mortars.BF open fire and Peter Pig are my favrites,Peter pig is the best for me.
Also here is some piks of the HalfTrack crews that are soon the be released.I think they look pretty good,.I will buy each just be ready For a boat load of Armored rifle and TDs companies..i know i would have would like to have seen the new TDs sets.So i can finally get a few barrels that i need and also have some more M-10 bodies.

Yeah that's been the only thing stopping me from getting more plastic models. The chance of small parts breaking at this scale is just too high for me.

Which sucks, because I really like plastic at larger scales.

I agree with your assessment, but unfortunately all we have is German Infantry and a US Paratrooper Platoon. Hopefully they will invest and pick up the releases.

I must admit to being sceptical about Battlefront's move into plastics. Especially after putting together the Shermans from the Open Fire set, which where a royal pain. But those T-34's do look very impressive. If they’ve improved on the assembly issues from Open Fire then I can see myself picking up one of those tank destroyer sets.

The Infantry were great, the Tanks in the Open Fire boxed set, were a bit ropey some of the pieces were slightly warped - Certainly not at the level of the PSC.

That's a bit of an understatement. I agree the infantry are pretty solid, though not as good as the metal ones IMO due to the limitations of plastic. Getting those stretched flat pieces where details should end because of mold limitations irks me but they weren't too bad. The tanks were pretty much a disappointment all throughout. Shermans needed their mold retooled and the stugs have details lost around the schurzen because of mold design. I'm very persnickety with models.

Agreed, the Open fire infantry where excellent, I was just disappointed by the tanks. So currently PSC are well ahead of BF in the Vehicle category.

I just hope BF have addressed these issues. Plastic Tank Destroyers and Jagdpanthers sound brilliant.

Looking good so far. It looks like it does make the 57mm version as well as the OT-34 flamethrower tank.

They look great, but I hope they reworked their plastic away from the open fire stuff. If those pak40s are any indication, I may be screaming and cursing my way through this.
