When I saw the photos of the new Space Marine Centurions I wasn't a massive fan so I decided to make my own, this is my take on the Centurion. I imagined them looking more mech like rather than the suit within a suit idea that GW went for. Btw they are still a work in progress and I have a third one to build so any constructive criticism is appreciated.
I started this in general discussion, but was informed that it should probably be posted here instead!
Edit
Size Comparison - I havent seen the centurion models in real life but I think my version is slightly smaller, but not by much.

Oh yea sorry probably should have said that, its based on a sedition wars thi suit that I chopped up made slightly larger with lots of green stuff, and then used various different GW bits from a bits store to give it a bit more of a Space Marine feel and obviously the same weapons as the centurion.

Looks good.
I thought it was the Sedition Wars heavy suit as a base. Those are pretty expensive, though.
Did you want to save money, and do you think you managed to?

I wasnt fussed about saving money tbh, all in all for the three thi suits plus the extra GW bits it probably cost me about the same as the centurion box.

The thing about GW models being so expensive is that it makes it easy to find expensive substitutes without spending more, at any rate.
Which is good news!

Yea that is exactly what I thought! There was no way I was going to spend nearly 50 pounds on models that I didnt really like, but when I realised that I could make something that could proxy as them and that I thought looked far cooler and all for the same price it was no contest really. Plus I love the whole process of modelling and building the miniatures it was a win win!
