If I have two units of daemons in close combat with a single enemy unit, does the enemy have to test for fear only once per turn or once per daemon unit (effectively twice per turn)?

Many thanks!

Does Fear say the unit tests for each fear causing model in base contact or if you have 1 or more models that cause fear?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

That way,then left

I'll seem harsh but have you re-read the Fear rule? It's quite clearly spelled out that it's one IF you suffer from Fear because of any number of enemies

Well, the rules state for one or more models... My question is what happens when there are one or more "units." Is there a distinction in that case? Ii understand that if I have a unit of 10 daemons you test for fear only once, but if you have two units of ten models each, would you test twice?

If you have 2 units of 10 models, do you have one or more models?

Is there any mention of "units" in the Fear rule? If not, then abide by what is clearly written about models.

I guess so... Its just that most of the times, in my experience, when rules refer to "models" they they refer to models within a unit, and the rules don't extend to models from other units

If this is how it is usually played, it's good with me. The question popped into my mind as I was think of ways to play my list.
