Just bought the Adepta Sororitas codex and put all the data into Battle Scribe. I'm stoked! The AS codex was stripped of a lot of cheesy Inquisition units, but what's left is a really clean and deadly force. Everything seems to have a purpose, and works effectively. I used the following list to play vs a Grey Knight army.

Sororitas Command Squad
5x Plasma-Bolter (combi)
Immolator, TL HB turret

Sororitas Command Squad
5x Plasma-Bolter (combi)
Immolator, TL HB turret

Battle Sisters Squad (5)
2x Melta
Immolator, TL HB turret

Battle Sisters Squad (5)
Melta, Flamer
Immolator, TL HB turret

Retributor Squad
4x Heavy Bolter

Exorcist

Exorcist

This was a really fun game! The Immolators were able to lay down a lot of supporting fire, while the command squads took the threats head on. The Exorcists were deadly, as were the Retributors. Great game, AS victory!*

*I goofed a few rules, but the game was going to be close either way.

Not to be a dick, but that list is totally illegal. You have to take a Canoness for each SCS.

Also, why HB turrets on the Immolators? Why only 4 Heavy Bolters on the Rets, no simulacrum, no vet?

Obviously I'm still learning some of the details of the codex, I should have included a Canoness and only 1 SCS, you are correct.

The AS codex states "Four other Retributors may each take one item from the Heavy Weapons list." It does say that you may add further Retributors, but their standard loadout is bolters and bolt pistols, not heavies.

I was playing an opponent that has very little mech, and is known to deepstrike terminators. I figured I could do more with volume of fire from Immolator HB turrets than with flame or MM turrets. Also, I did not want to abandon my Exorcists, given that my opponent was going to close the gap quickly, they needed close support. Therefore, I think I made the right choice, transporting all my infantry in HB Immolators, castling up and beating him with volume of fire ... which worked.

The Simulacrum I left out because it was my first list, and I didn't know how many shooting opportunities I would get with the Rets, or if the vulnerable 5 girl squad would perish before turn 2. Maybe next time, because rending would be good to have twice on that unit.

The Veteran Superior ... LD9 is really the only reason I can see taking Veteran Superiors. I guess I don't have enough experience with this army to make informed decisions regarding veterans (1 battle so far ...). I suppose it would be important to boost your odds to stay in the fight, instead of having those expensive squads fleeing under fire. I can see the benefit, maybe it's worth the 10 points for LD9, and maybe a power weapon.

Still much to learn, thanks for your comments.

You could have taken two SCS but you would have just needed two Canonesses.

Sorry, I may have been unclear. I meant ablative bodies with bolters (which can still rend).

Ahh, I'm a fan of making TAC lists rather than specific lists for my opponent. Hence MM immos with Flamers inside are my general loadout.

Simulacrum/Vet/Laud Hailer are basically all ways of approaching our core mechanic, faith. I love that they are the same cost but do different things and are used in different strategies. It really is up to you to see which one you like best.

Thanks man, I really appreciate this feedback! Great stuff.

I come from playing IG, and this is a quite a different play style. It's good to have a better grasp on where to buff and how to utilize more of the Adepta Sororitas strengths.

Thanks!

Btw twin linked multi meltas might have been better and you always hits and it's ap2 insta kill on grey knight termies anyway on a different note, it's always good to have extra bodies on your rets so you don't lose your heavy weps straight away, also a little hint, Uriah jacobus is a boss! Extra act of faith for free for what ever squad he's attached to. He makes them fearless aswell. But for your list he's probs better in bigger games. Glad to see another soritas player
