So first off the minimum requirements are 1 troop choice, no HQ required, no fliers. Every month the army increases 250pts. I have three starting lists, which one do you think is the best all comers for this first month? So far in the group are Tau, Nids, IG, SM, Necrons, and more!

CCS can give orders. MG goes toe to toe and blasts anything that tries to drop or pop out of nowhere. LRBT blasts till it dies. LC for anti armor. Marbo comes in and does his thing.

So what do you all think of these lists and what would you run in a 500pt game? Something I should add/replace. Haven't played this new addition and I heard tanks have been nurfed a bit. Later as the points go up I plan to expand my troops, with my 2000 list I run 6 Vets with Melt and Plas with lots of tank support.

Tbh matey if your putting a lascannon in your squad then you don't want your plasma gun firing at the same target so it's a waste of points IMHO. I would have one vet squad with lascannon and a flamer for overwatch and have 2 plasma on the other one, or 3 if you can afford it at this points level your opponents will really struggle with av14 which is nice but I think if your having plasma vets then maybe you need a different type of Russ? Maybe the vanquisher for anti tank or the one with the awesome twin liked auto cannon thing? For light anti tank? That way you could drop the lascannons from the vets and have one squad with plasma for anti meq and the other for anti horde, something like Flamers with a heavy bolter/auto cannon, that way they rule at overwatch and when enemy closes can leap forward and burn for fun. Just a few ideas but I like that fact you've got a Russ at this points level, should fare you well

No fliers until 1250.

Tanks. As many as possible at that point cost. It will be hard to counter effectively. Since guard can take Chimeras for dirt cheap and stock Russes for 150...I would pop one or two Vet squads in Chimeras then take LRBTs to fill it out.
