There has been a couple of threads about forge world as of late BUT no one ever talks about anything but SM's models. So my question is what forge world Ork models are 40K approved and which book has the Ork rules in it??? And this one is for my fellow Ork players are any of the forge world models any good??
Thanks for any knowledge you can share. Automatically Appended Next Post: No one has any intel about the Orks forgeworld veichles really, come on. I am not looking for stats just which one could I use in a regular 40k game.

Imperial Armour Apocalypse (most up-to-date rules)
Imperial Armour Aeeronautica (6th edition rules, some of which might be superseded by above)
Imperial Armour Volume 8: Raid on Kastorel-Noven (will also need the Vehicle Update FAQ from FW downloads page).

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Just get Imperial Armour Apocalypse, as everyone else has said. Here's the contents:
All the Ork models look great. That's all the reason you need to buy them.

See, you're trying to use people logic. DM uses Mandelogic, which we've established has 2+2=quack. - Aerethan

I'm not sure the Apoc book is the best solution for what's okay in normal games, although it has the most recent rules for several of their models.
But, other things, like the FW flyers, are in IA Aeronautica, and for most of the fluff (and the kustom stompa rules), you'd want IA8, The Raid of Kastorel-Novem.

It also has the 40k approved stamp, which helps a lot (and it's the most up to date). Because I've got the rules to hand, here's what 40k stuff Orks get in the book:
- Mega-Dread
- Kustom Meka-Dread
- Lifta Wagon
- Grot Mega Tank
Hope this helps.
(Anything on the contents page but not on the list is either Super-Heavy, Gargantuan, or a Formation)

Nope, they're super-heavies. Although, rumours seem to indicate that an expansion that allows 1 super-heavy into a normal game might be forthcoming. But I wouldn't drop serious coin on models in the hope that they would become legal.

They keep changing the damn rules. You can find most units in Imperial Armour Apocalypse 2nd Ed, and the new and super, super gak lifta droppa in Apocalypse (yes I mad).
Orks get two tourney tier units, the Grot Bomm Launcha and the Big Trakk. The former is a one shot, TL large blast ordnance and is fantastic for scaring marines, smashing IG arty, or disrupting deployment. The latter can be spammed as a tide of deff rollas or can take supa kannons giving us something akin to a main battle tank (essentially a slightly more expensive, much much better looted wagon)

Can you give some rules information on the Big Trakk? It looks pretty cool, though £70 is a hell of a lot for a glorified Basilisk...

Immagine a looted wagon but with armor 12/12 2x big shootas and a str 9 ap3 for allmost the same point cost without the Dont push that rule. (this again depends if you take supakannon or not ) You do not have to get the FW model they look pretty much as looted wagons so you can allways convert your own.
